Nextpvr + Jellyfin

Trying to use the nextpvr plugin for jellyfin and running into some problems.

* Both jellyfin and nextpvr are in docker containers
* both apps work fine on their own

When I try to use nextpvr (LiveTV) within jellyfin, it does launch the stream.  The problem I'm running into is a few seconds to a minute or two later, the stream hangs.  It seems that as soon as it takes any kind of transcoding hiccup/error it stops the stream and wont resume.

I do not see this issue using nextpvr directly but am trying to get it working under jellyfin so I can use it on my TV's that have firesticks and/or native jellyfin support. 

Anyone have any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting?

NextPVR doesn't transcode sending to Jellyfin, transcoding would be in Jellfyfin. The only exception might be if this was IPTV that NextPVR didn't support, and we'd need the zipped NextPVR logs from the Settings page.

Best best is to use Kodi or a UI client on the TV. The Jellfyfin Live TV plugin uses an old interface that Mediabrowser was rewriting even before it became Emby. Which TV platform are you looking at, most support direct play?

thanks for the info.  I'm wanting the ability to remotely watch live TV from my atsc decoder that's configured in NextPvr.   Mainly amazon firesticks and my ipad, though I also have a samsung TV with the jellyfin client on it. I haven't even really looked, will a firestick work with nextpvr directly? I'm not wedded to jellyfin, I just installed the nextpvr plugin on it b/c I use it for my home video library. 

I'll play around a bit with kodi and see if it'll meet my needs.  I know it runs fine in a docker container so setting it up shouldnt be a problem.

For ATSC there won't be any transcoding from NextPVR. However when you write remote if you mean Internet you might have hiccups from transcoding especially for wireless no matter what server you use.

You can install uidroid on the AFTV for direct play. Kodi will also work on it. Kodi is a client not sure why you need it in Docker. My fall project will be exploring a Tizen Samsung client. Sub has an ios direct play client
