Moved to .NET 8. Previously we were using .NET 6, but that had reached end of support at Microsoft.
Updated version of several components NextPVR uses, skiasharp, jquery, ffmpeg etc.
DVB/ATSC EPG is now supported on all platforms and device types where it is possible, using a single unified approach. Previously it was done different ways on different platforms, with different features available on each.
Improvements to UK Freesat support. Now pulling listings from both Freesat and OpenTV.
Updated OSD controls, giving better support for increasingly common remotes that only feature up/down/left/right/enter/back
Add support for svg images in nextpvr/uiclient skins
Changes to the way OSD graphics are displayed over video in nextpvr.exe to work around bug with Intel drivers
Improvements to nextpvr.exe / uiclient music playback (playlist, now playing etc...)
DVB/ATSC EPG is now supported on all platforms and device types where it is possible
Further improvements to web api for clients
Docker image now contains comskip.
Included newer Intel drivers in docker image, to better support hardware acceleration on newer chipsets
SAT>IP defaults to letting the device choose which tuner to use (same as in the past). You now also have the option of setting <SATIPForceFrontend>true</SATIPForceFrontend> in config.xml before scanning for channels, to force it to use a specific tuner on the device.

Automap will only apply if the channel is mapped to None, so as not to break existing mappings

The api method=setting.m3u.update no longer adds new channels. This change is to help with auto updating the IPTV channel lists, without breaking curated channel linups.

Some user feedback would be very helpful:  Please - please! - please!!

If there is something new or fixed & after you have tried it you think it's 'cool, great, brilliant or even sucks, is now total rubbish' please "say so"

If you have something that doesn't work for you, post a message in the support forums (in the appropriate category) mentioning what you are using like the web app, NextPVR.exe, one of the uiclents, emby, kodi etc. & don't forget for the majority you will need to include zipped logs "after trying to do what ever it is that doesn't work" (you can get zipped (flushed) logs from the Web app >Settings>About>Log Files), to upload them select Preview Post then scroll down to "Drop File Here to upload" if they are over 2MB you will need to upload them to something like OneDrive or Google Drive etc. & provide an external link. Don't just sit back & wait for the next release 'hoping it will be fixed' (apart from anything else) if we don't know it is a problem chances are it won't be fixed.

If you have something you would like added post in the "Wishlist" forum, don't expect a reply (although sometimes you will get one) even without a reply all posts are read... if you see a wishlist post that you agree with (would like) 'say so' even if it is only a '+1', wishlist items with a number of people wanting them do 'seem' to be more likely for sub to include in a future build. Don't forget that sub (the sole developer of NextPVR) is a busy man & like the saying goes 'great things take time'.

And last but by for sure not least if you use NextPVR regularly make a donation, it costs money to do a project like this & things like hosting the forums etc. are not free.

Just installed the latest version on Mac and everything is working great and it seems snappier. Not much feedback because NPVR just works. For me it has always done what it's supposed to do and that's what makes it the best. Thanks!
