nextpvr.exe playback issues?

Updated from v6.1.5.231022  to v7.0.0.241105 today and have two new issues when playing recordings with the Windows client:

1. OSD is not timing out. 
   
2. Resume always starts at the beginning.
   

Setting UseLayeredOSD to false appears to resolve the OSD issue.

Note:  The most recent NShared.dll and NUtility.dll have been installed in C:\Program Files\NextPVR and C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client.

The resume issue appears to be addressed by installing NextPVRUI.dll from NextPVRUI.zip in C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client

Updated from v7.0.0.241105 to v7.0.1.241219 today. I can confirm the resume issue is resolved however the OSD issue persists. Again, setting UseLayeredOSD to false appears to resolve the issue.

The reason that UseLayeredOSD is configurable is because the OSD doesn't work the same on all graphic cards and it doesn't indicate a bug.

What are the specs for your video card and PC?

I've just been trying to reproduce this, but the OSD is disappearing correctly here.

The PC is an NUC8i5BEH running Windows 10 (Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045) with Intel's graphics driver version 27.20.100.8681.

To reproduce, use the thumb-nail short skip (not immediate).  On enter, the stream skips appropriately but the OSD remains displayed over the video and below the closed-captioning.

I updated the PC to Windows 11 (version 10.0.26100 Build 26100) with Intel's graphics driver version 31.0.101.2121 yesterday and confirmed the OSD overlay issue persists.

Today, I determined use of the madVR video renderer appears to be factor as I'm not able to reproduce the issue when I switch over to EVR.

Now the question is, is it "better" to use madVR with UseLayeredOSD set to false or EVR with UseLayeredOSD set to true?

I haven't even tried the madVR render in maybe 10+ years, so in all honestly I can't recommend it for use in NextPVR. (mainly for it not really being a "supported" configuration)
