Recording from the point you switch channels rather than when you press record

I have my Live TV method set to timeshift which works great, allowing me to rewind back to the point at which I switched to the channel.  If I decide to record the program, it starts the recording from the time I press the record button.  Is it possible to record the program from the time I switch to the channel, as that video has already been recorded to allow the timeshift/rewind feature?  This is how it works with SkyQ

No. That was something that sub took out after v4. I missed it enough to write a utility to do it https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ght=stitch but only one user really seemed interested so I now keep it for personal user and don't support it.

That's a shame. I think that would be a great addition to an excellent bit of software

the video is already being buffered for timeshift, so in theory, it seems like it should be possible to just seamlessly grab that existing buffer and make it part of the recording. That's how some commercial DVRs handle block blast, which is super convenient.
