This is weird, all of the sudden I can watch anything using the web client and firefox.  I get the error streaming failed (transcoder exited).  When I try to use the client I only get audio.  When I use microsoft edge, everything works fine.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Edit: I did a fresh log dump before posting, but uploaded the wrong one. I can't delete the old one. The fresh log is the one ending 1108

First you might want to check thing since NextPVR can't see you H: Drive.

Next check the browser settings and see what you have in the Transcoding settings and use the same thing in Firefox. I think that is the problem, but send new logs showing FF and Edge playback.

I couldn't find any transcoder options in firefox.  I disabled all extensions, but it still doesn't work.

I made the -2339 log immediately after streaming on edge

I made the -2341 log immediately after streaming failed on firefox.

I'd rather not use the workaround of using edge, but since I have a working solution, this isn't super high priority. I appreciate your time looking at the log files, hopefully something obvious jump out at you

Maybe read the wiki https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...e-settings It is not a FF setting it is in NextPVR.

It looks like they both use NVENC but FF is is 1080p vs 720p in Edge Both seem to generate ffmpeg warrning though so try software encoding.

Oh, ok. Thanks. I had seen the npvr settings, but I thought I had to find settings to match in firefox.

I changed it to CPU decoding and its working on firefox now, but still not the client. In the client I tried all of the different video encoders. Maybe I need to update my nvidia drivers

I missed the bit about the client which I assume is NextPVR.exe. The LAV32 32 bit decoders (not 64 bit)

Thanks for all the help.

I installed the latest nvidia drivers after doing DDU cleanup. Still doesn't work on firefox.

I installed the latest version of the LAV decoders (.80) and selected them. Everything now works with nextpvr.exe

So everything is working except firefox. That'll be good enough for now. I'll do a fresh windows install when they stop updating windows 10 in a few months. I assume that will fix it all.

Thanks again!

NextPVR doesn't use the nvidia drivers, the transcoding is done by ffmpeg and both output logs show errors with the transcoding.

Did you lower the transcoded resolution of Firefox to match Edge at 720p? Maybe that is less quirky.,

Ok, I got it figured out.

I didn't realize that the transcoder settings changed with the browser, so firefox was set to 1080p and edge was default.

I changed firefox to default and now its working. My guess is that firefox would have worked if it had been a 1080p program, but since my OTA channels are almost always 720, it couldn't give me 1080 so it just quit.

Thanks for the help, and especially the patience. Its all fixed!
