noobee - a couple of questions

Hi all! - I have a couple of questions (did a search first ) -

I plan on setting up a box as a DVR only - I don't care about playing DVD's or viewing pictures so I plan on going with the following

ati - ehome wonder x2
Sigma Xcard
MCE 2005 remote

The Sigma is not here yet, but from reading the forums I realize that I will only get 256 colors for OSD. Not a big deal. My biggest concern is quality and PVR funtionality. All that being said ..

Xcard - is this the best for video out? (I am guessing here that hardware decoding wins over software ).

MCE 2005 remote - does it work correctly? I read a thread about some of the buttons not working (like guide and recorded tv) on the 2004 remote..

one last question - (and OT not really direct to GBPVR -) does anyone know if the Xcard support h.264 ?

The ATI ehome wonder is not on the list of supported cards on http://www.gbpvr.com, just so you know.

in the drop down list in GBPVR installed? It's the same chipset as the haughpage so I don't think it's an issue (someone correct me if I am worng).

I CAN use my theatrix 550 cards if I have to (out of my MCE2005 box) - but my goal was to eventually set up a 4 tuner box with decoding done via the Xcard.
