I have installed and configured DVD Ripper and when run it creates a subdirectory under the ROOT of the disk rather than a subdirectory under on eof the direcotries defined for GB functions.

For example, I have defined:
c:\GB-Archive for archived data
C:\GB-Buffer for the recording functions
C:\GB-Videos for recorded programs
C:\GB-DVD2MPEG for the output from the DVD2MPEG (which I cannot get to work properly but that's a different problem for another day :-)

Anyway, when I run DVD Ripper on a DVD such as Maltese Falcon it creates a directory called C:\DVD2MPEGTHE_MALTESE_FALCON. I would have thought, and prefer, that it would either have a config option to set the base directory or it would put the output as a subdirectory such as C:\DVD2MPEG\THE_MALTESE_FALCON.

With the current results there is no way to "see" and play the result from GBPVR.

Clearly I have a config problem but I can't seem to find it. Any help?

John

Was this the DVD Ripper plugin or the DVD2MPEG plugin?

I've just tried to reproduce this with my DVD Ripper plugin, but it worked correctly for me. I've tried both ISO mode and File Mode.

No, its he DVD Ripper plugin. It seems to want to be associated with the DVD2MPEG directory as that's the base name of the directory it created, but it created it in the root.

I just searched the forums and found an item dating to Aug 2004 that discussed this. There does not seem to be any resolution at that point. (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...dvd+ripper)

FYI, the file date on the DVDRipperPlugin.dll is 08/07/2004 --- which is BEFORE the date of the August 2004 post that mentioned the problem. Is it possible that the version on the wiki is obsolete? It's on the new wiki by the way.

Yes, it's probably out of date. I'll try to get a new one uploaded tomorrow.
