Here's the skin.xml for you.

The pic size is in the xml. Reboot made the size of the pic just right.

You must change the name of the picture to yours. In this case, it's called max.png
It should be a .png, and as close as possible to the size specified in the xml.
Too large a picture, and it chews up memory, too small, and it's blurry. The wrong proportions, and it's stretched or squashed.
You can never have enough tuners!

I tried to change my picture from a .jpg to a .png but it didn't work for me so I put in the original .jpg picture and it seems to work without any problems.

Does a .jpg chew up more memory than a .png? How do I convert a .jpg to a .png?

Any good graphics program should be able to load your .jpg and save it as a .png
Try IrFanView (it's free still), if you don't have Paintshop pro, or Photoshop.
I suppose a .jpg would work as well, and the picture isn't that large anyhow.
