I must be new, but my system isn't installing the "msi" file.

My system:
MSI-7125, AND64 3500+, 1gb ram.
3 SATA HDs, 80Gb; 80Gb; 200Gb.
EVGA GF6200 256MB PCIE DDR VGA
Hauppage PVR150

What am I doing wrong?

Have you got the microsoft updates? One of them is for .msi installers.
You can never have enough tuners!

Thank you sir, for the prompt reply. However, I ran the Win Update, and the only updates were Directx "C"; and root certs...

May I ask, "What program/application installs the GBPVR msi file?"

Windows Installer. It'll run automatically when you download the msi or when you click on it. Its included with Windows XP. Something must be broken with your Windows installation if it doesnt start.

You could see if you can download an updated version from Microsoft's website. The default version that is included with Win2K or XP works fine, but hopefully by updating this it'll fix whatever is broken.

I assume you're running as an administrator and you're not running Window98 etc...

Ahh! Thank you! I am familiar with the "inf" install; and when "right-clicked" there is a menu option "Install." I tried the "GBPVR... msi," on another computer and when "right-clicked" the options "Install" and "Uninstall" are available... in short 'my newest computer is toast.'

Thank you for the prompt responses.

The windows installer runs as a service.
Open services.msc and see if you've disabled it.
If so, start it, and set it to manual, then the .msi will install with a simple double click.
