I currently have GB-PVR running on two machines, one with a FreeView WinTV on a PC/Monitor in my study, and one with a PC/capture card and Sky Box plugged into the TV.
What I'd like is plugin that merged the recorded programs from the two GB-PVR's onto each machine. It doesn't have to copy the actual MPEG across as this can just be accessed by a network file path, however I'd like to be able to click on the Recordings button on either GB-PVR and see recordings from both machines and then click play and have GB-PVR play the file regardless of whether it is on the local machine or on another instance of GB-PVR on the network.
I haven't looked into this closely yet.. if its storing recorded programs in an XML (or other format) file, it should be an easy matter of periodically comparing and merging entries from both files, along with a relative path so GB-PVR can play the file. So recordings show from all GB-PVR's running on the network.
What do you plugin developers think? Sounds pretty straightforward.. it doesn't need an advanced config interface, just a place where you can specify network file paths of other GB-PVR instances and recorded files for merging into a local instance of GB-PVR and how often to sync.
Thoughts? Anyone else ever wanted all their GB-PVR's to work together?
