Hi sub, daza67, and anyone else,
Old thread I know, but I was wondering what the "T:C05" section of the tuning string is? I've guessed at the rest being:
T:C??,<Channel Frequency>,?,?,<Bandwidth?>~P:<Service ID>~V:<Video PID>~A:<Audio PID>~N:<Station Name?>
My problem is that I have not been able to tune any channels with my Compro card but manually editing the database to include my channel settings string seems to work. After limited testing I have been able to get channels to display but they tend to cut out all the time (like bad recieption).
I was hoping that the T: value might be of some help???
Thanks.

The C05 part of it is ignored - make it anything you want.

Correct.

Sorry, but I've not read anything good about these Compro cards. I dont think they like GB-PVR.

Sorry...

Another old thread comment, but I wanted to make sure that future thread readers know about successes.

daza67 Wrote:Even if this is fixed there also appear to be some issues with the Cyberlink muxer being unable to handle ac3 audio, see discussion at forums.dvbowners.com. Apparently the SSmuxer can handle ac3 audio but I have been unable to verify this.

I have used both the M$ DVR-MS mux and Cyberlink mux with North American ATSC & embedded AC3 (GB-PVR v0.98.8b plus atsc-scan5 patch; Cyberlink mux MpgMux.ax VERSION: 5.0.0813). The resulting Live TV, DVR-MS and MPEG2 files correctly play the AC3 audio (downmixed to stereo, at least).

Update: Seems that the card is working just as well in GB-PVR as the software that it came with. Before posting I was comparing with my digital set top box and that was working fine but the Compro wasn't great. After posting I realised that the Compro software wasn't working great either (the card must be more sensitive than the set top) and as my aerial isn't great and with a bit of bad weather the card was affected.
I might post a tip with a "how to" for what I have done in case it helps someone else.
Thanks for the confirmation sub!
