Have been trying to get this to work with little success.

i have 7 folders in the root of my directory, i can browse all fine except the largest that has around 6000 tracks. as soon as i select this i get 'object not set to an instance' runtime error. thought it might be because the app hadnt fully scanned the directory, but i have waited until the \jeff\musicplayer.log indicates that it has scanned everything (around 8 mins) , but still the same error. cant find anything in gbpvr log except an unrelated 'error loading sation list' relating to 'fm_radio_station'. there is nothing different about this folder other than it having the largest number of tracks.

help?!

I will put some more debugging info into the next build so we can try to track this down. Someone else also reported an error like this that wasn't logged in the gbpvr.exe.log file. All errors that GBPVR displays on the screen should be logged so I don't understand how this happens. Are you by chance using a MVP and a PC and generating the error from the PC rather than MVP?

Only the first instance of GBPVR.exe run will generate logs. So if you're running and MVP and PC instance, only one will be producing logs - which is what I think you were starting to wonder.

Just to le you know i have approximately halved the size of the folder causing problems and things have improved. i can now generally browse the folders initially, but generally after a bit of browing back and forth the error returns...could it be a size issue? wonder if i need to split the folder further

OK update...problem seems to be nearly as bad. noting what sub has said i have only the mvp instance running and have checked the logs, im seeing the following repeating errors:

29/08/2005 13:26:58.609 ERROR [304] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="DirListImage"]
29/08/2005 13:26:58.609 ERROR [304] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="FileListImage"]
29/08/2005 13:26:58.609 ERROR [304] Unable to find node: /settings/SpecialElements/SpecialElement[@name="SelectedDetailsImage"]

does this help anyone??
