I might have misunderstood this but it seems that the F7 - aspect ratio function is just about the only one we can't access via the remote, unless we program IRremote.ini or use girder or other workarounds.

I use GBPVR native remote input and it works perfectly except I don't have the option to learn a remote signal for aspect ratio.

Thanks for considering this

just add it to the keymappings xml files.

go to the keymappings dir in gbpvrs dir (requires gbpvr v94.x) and open up the video/tv etc xml files and set it (its really easy, just take a look).

I must admit I find this a handy key on the remote too - I have assigned it to the "prev channel" button on my 45 button control (using irremote.ini), although have to remind my wife of the button position, so may look at writing over the current label. (I spotted that she was watching her Battlestar Galactica episodes all distorted, although that now won't matter until it returns in January).

Thanks!
- but I don't get it!

I change this line in e.g. videoplayer.xml
<command name="VIDEO_ASPECT_RATIO" key="F7"/>
to
<command name="VIDEO_ASPECT_RATIO" key="F6"/>
expecting the remote code for "RADIO" within the USBUIRT programming to match this function.
Nothing happens though! There's got to be an easier way.

In the config app, playback tab what are you set for? OVERLAY, VMR9, OR VMR7.

I don't think aspect ratio will change if your in overlay. It must be VMR.
GBPVR Server:
AMD Sempron 3300+, 1gb DDR, 100, 200 & 500gb HDDs, DVD -/+RW PVR150 RETAIL, PVR150MCE.
GBPVR 1.0.16, SKIN'S = Default Blue, PLUGIN'S = None

I'm using VMR9 and the aspect ratio works via the keyboard. I just don't want to get up or rely on girder/irremote to do the switching.

set it back to F7, and in irremote.ini file set "PrevCh" to {f7}, save it and then restart the IR.exe file, that should do it.

Now I get it, but that's the opposite of what I wanted.

That was my initial point: why run irremote if this easily could be handled from within GBPVR?
I Like the USBUIRT and don't wan't irremote or girder running if I can help it.

So the wish still stands: access to remote programming aspect ratio from within GBPVR.

Thanks for the suggestions though
