Have the ability to put certain recorded content in a protected area. There are shows that get recorded that I don't want my son to watch yet.

Also, to have this ability in MVP.

the XRecord plugin does have this feature (see http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/XRecord)
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

You can lock shows with a pin code. Ctrl-B

Video Archiver has it as well. Just pick the interface you like better.

Sorry to bring this topic back from the grave, but I learned a long time ago users prefer continuing an old topic as opposed to starting a new one.

Anyway, I'm just wondering do the password features on these two plugins work for both videos recorded with GB-PVR (i.e. those under the recordings section) and videos that I set up directories to (i.e. those in the video library)

No, they only affect the plugin, not any of the built in GB-PVR screens.
