MyPictures3 OK in Config but not coming up on Screen?

Please at some point can this be put back on the main screen like it is pictured on the wiki, or allow it through a skin. my wife will never find that button.

i held a vote and like 80% voted for the way it is now, you so im never going to change it back.

ill fix it if it isnt showing up all the time thou.

i did vote, i guess i just lost for the life of me i can't understand anyone wanting it burried that far in, but that's just me.

it seems annoying to have to start music prior to the slideshow, and is only really relevant in fullscreen mode (why would you want music when just browsing). putting it in fullscreen mode does make more sense i believe. i might make it so the "music" button popups the playlist option straight away (i asked this question before, but no one seemed to be interested in this).

I understand what you're saying and to the experienced user i agree with you. I think a lot of us tend to make our systems (or at least try to) so the least experienced user in the household can still operate things without mucking up the works. Here it's used exclusively through the MVP, no one touches the computers but me.

As i see it you go into fullscreen mode everytime you start a slideshow, by then it's too late for the technically challenged among some household members or guests.

It was me that suggested that auto starting a playlist if found in a directory would be great. no buttons to press, no extra steps it just plays as the slideshow goes on. To me that would have been perfect. use playlists or not. if you put them in they play, if you don't that's fine too, nothing plays. Simple for the end user.

It's a very fine plug in as it stands, to me it's only the user interface that leaves some of the less technical behind and unable to use it. Unfortunately it's just those persons that I've set all this up for.

that would require a playlist in every single directory, that is far from perfect. and looking at the poll, no one voted for this option. you voted for a master playlist (i really thought this one would get more votes).

playlists are the easiest thing to implement, the old way was rubbish, it took to many button presses and there was an extra filelist which seemed strange.


i agree the playlist thing is an issue, so ill add an extra option in the config for a master playlist that will start playing (in random order) whenever you enter a slideshow (not fullscreen).

ive just implemented the master playlist feature, and fixed the bug with the popup menu, it was only working in fullscreen mode (slideshow and random showed the normal one). now in slideshow and random mode pressing menu only shows the available music playlists (since the other options dont really apply), this should make everybody happy.
