Audio Problem

I am having a problem with one particular IPTV channel. (EPIX 2)
I can't get any audio. It looks like it uses the E-AC3 codec.
I have installed/reinstalled several versions of codecs without any success.
If someone could just try playing the snippet I have attached here, and let me know if they get sound, and what your codec settings are. Thanx.

It plays fine in VLC.

It doesn't work for me with V5 either but it looks like that is for sub since it plays fine with LAV as a graph.

The v5 log shows it using

MEDIATYPE_Audio, subtype: MEDIASUBTYPE_DOLBY_AC3

The graph shows

MEDIASUBTYPE_DOLBY_DDPLUS {A7FB87AF-2D02-42FB-A4D4-05CD93843BDD}

It's not just that file, it seems anything I watch on EPIX 2 doesn't play the audio.
If I use my Android box it works OK.

I understand it's the codec connection not the file but it is still for sub. If you use NextPVR with Kodi it will be fine too.

This recording also plays fine in the NextPVR v5 web app, and I assume any live streams from this service would too.

It's not giving audio in nextpvr.exe (v4 or v5) because it lacks an E-AC3 descriptor on it's audio stream. I'll take a look at how to get it going though.

In the web app it is fine because it is transcoded video and audio so not ideal for IPTV live TV

I have a wishlist open somewhere to only transcode audio when required so 5:1 audio files from an HDPVR and from an HDHR Extend stream native h264 to the browser.

I've updated NPVRTSReader5.ax to support this style of E-AC3 audio in the next release (of v5). That clip now plays correctly in nextpvr.exe.

So how will this help me if I still plan on using V4, at least until you come up with a working client version of V5?

Sorry, no it won't really help you on v4. I'll try to find some time to make updated NPVRTSReader4.ax.
