Just chiming in with a "I would like a solutioin for this too". 
I've had to discard some non-english films due to this.
Edit: Saw Sub postinmg while I did - but what we reaaly want is for it to be displayed properly - it's apparently in the file. Not really liking a reencode thing other than for the last resort.
