Yes, 'record series' is all that most people need, and probably what you want.

If you wanted other types of recording, such as recording a show on all channels, you can click the 'advanced' button, and from that 'recording type' drop down, you can choose 'record series - all episodes, all channels'. It doesn't sound like you need to do that. (sounds like you just want the original channel you clicked in the guide)
