Tried restarting the PH and GBPVR but haven't got it to work again. This is very strange because I don't do anything differently than last week.

I now know why it did not start the Live TV, but I find it very strange. I have an upcoming recording in 3 hours which is blocking the Live TV. The strangest thing is that I am activating the Live TV from the TV guide, so it should start the Live TV for the programm I selected (I thought).
How much free time does GBPVR need for Live TV? (Time between start Live TV and scheduled recording).

Sorry, there is a known is a known problem. Because of some tricks I had to do to get the PH to play live tv, it actually schedules a recording for 5 hours, then cancels it when live tv stops. Unfortunately I didnt think to check how long was available for until the next recording, so a recording in 3 hours would cause problems. I'll fix it for the next update.

Can you watch LiveTV on your pc? I know mine has been having troubles lately, i.e. It plays for a second then stops. Perhaps one of the MS updates broke something.

Thanks Sub.....
Do you know when there will be an update, because my wife uses the Live TV function a lot. And likes the PH/GBPVR combo for watching some of the digital channels which are not available on all our TV's.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Lasoul,

I'm curious: I see you're living in the Netherlands. Who is your TV-provider? How do you watch digital channels in GBPVR?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

My TV provider is TVHome (Essent/@Home) and I am using the combo ProgDVB/DVBSBridge/GBPVR/PopcornHour for watching digital channels. I have got an DVB-C tuner from Terratec 1200 C.

Thanks, Lasoul. I'm going to give this a try. I'll stop messing up this thread now, since it should be about the PCH.

Sub,

I still can't get video files to play using the LinkTheater. The problem is the link that is set and loaded when you hit "ENTER" when you have a "PLAY" button selected in the GBPVR interface. The "play" link, <A HREF="<% GetPlayFile(); %>" name="startplayback" <% GetDemandType(); %> ONFOCUSLOAD>.</A>, that loads as, <A HREF="/stream?f=C:\Shows\TV\24_20002100_20080112.mpg" name="startplayback" vod ONFOCUSLOAD>.</A> doesn't work.

What would work is a link to the file similar to the following:

<A HREF="http://192.168.1.100:PORT/Recordings/TV/24_20002100_20080112.mpg" name="startplayback" vod ONFOCUSLOAD>.</A>

Where "Recordings" is a virtual directory defined in the web server. Can the PCHServer provide the PORT and the virtual directory?
