Torque Wrote:- The menus are generally slower now, like Joshley pointed out. Can take up to 2or 3 seconds to show me my recordings. (i'm using the new default blue skin). With 12b, almost all the menus where instant.
This is really strange, I thought the menus were getting faster with each version (atleased between some of the last versions). I have around 32 "folders" on my recording screen and it takes 1sec to show it from the main menu, and this is on a Via C3 1ghz with just 256mb ram and a pvr-350 as the output (which I thought added a bit of time to the rendering). Why is there such a diffirence in speed?

Beats me. I cant think of any reason it would be slower.

btw this is a really nice release Smile The "keep xx recordings" function together with the "what's new" screen is just brilliant, now I always have a recording of the most recent news program and I don't even have to think about deleting it if I don't get to watch it!

- Sometimes while stopping a recording or when the recording finishes playing, i'll get an error message that a reference object isn't set or something. Doesn't always happen though.

This is the same error I have been getting with this version. It happens each time I exit a recording and live TV. I haven't seen any of the other issues on my setup.

Excellent work, Sub. I sincerely think you should take version 1.00 commercial. The program is worth it and you certainly deserve it. For me, I think a $49.99 price would be very compelling—especially compared to the competition. There are still a couple things that would be nice to see, such as:

1) Streamlined and customized keyboard layout. Ex: Where is the mute button? Last channel visited button? A "button mapper" window or tab would be a nice addition. Oh, also, a quick keyboard command to toggle between (real)full-screen and windowed—perhaps using “ALT-ENTER”?

2) Speed. Watching TV should feel like, well, watching TV. I am having to use the timeshifting mode” and find it somewhat frustrating since the channel changes take so long. I am largely ignorant of the technical obstacles, but would it be possible to use a portion of RAM as scratch—instead of the HDD? RAM is so cheap now that people could probably spare 512MB or more just for “timeshift storage.” Maybe this is impossible and maybe I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, but I wish that channel changing and generally interactions could be sped up.

3) Little more UI polish with live window play: Although minor, a slicker interface would help to sell your program. Additionally, it would be nice to have transparent visual indicators (i.e., mute, channel, time, etc…).

Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful program that I use all the time and one that I would love to see continually evolving. Many thanks for your hard work!

I just installed the new version, and the installation was smooth. I, too, love the two Grand New Features™. Good job!
