OK, I have .97 and the new plugin. Can't seem to get even "Live TV" to work. I believe I have set up everything as described. Using ATI AIW Radeon, TV input works through ATI software.

When I select Live Tv, I can hear the audio, but there is no video. As soon as I press the up/down arrow (assumed to change the channel) it changes for a split second than goes to main menu with a popup:

Error: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007001F)

When I run with the "Use Live Preview mode if possible" box unselected, I get the "No Tuners are Available..." message. I'm not sure what I have set up wrong.

I had to wipe my system and start over (no fault of GB-PVR though! Smile ) and now for whatever reason I can't get the recorder plugin to show up in the capture settings.

If I do a test with the "recordertest.exe" it shows up, and will even display the tv box to show that it is working. If I press "poke" it kicks out a .NET error and crashes. Not sure where to take it from here...

Any one have a suggestion?
Thanks! Big Grin
Jake

Did you apply the patch from the sticky 'v0.97.9 survival guide' post? http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16787

Live TV Works fine now, timeshift fails saying something about an instance of an object is not set (it shows up in the logs). Scheduled recordings fail as well. I scheduled a few shows to record last night and then had to leave for a few hours. When I left the first showed it was recording when I checked the status, (right click tray icon) but there were no files created. It made the correct folders in the right directory (My Docs -> My Video's) but there were no video files in them, even though it said it was recording them. CPU activity also made me think it was recording.

Last night when I got home, there was an error up on it indicating it was out of virtual memory and windows had increased its size. The machine has 1 gig of ram in it (I upgraded since I put my sig in place) so I'm not sure why virtual memory ballooned that much. Memory leak maybe?

I am on 97.09 and software recorder 0.27, I also have the GBPVRbackendCommon.zip file installed that sub reminded me of. Smile

Any help is appreciated, logs are attatched.
Thank You!

Recordings are still failing, changed a couple things this afternoon, scheduled a couple more and I will see how they fair in a few hours.

Here is the error that I get when in liveTV mode. Live tv has a great picture, sound is great and all but when I push the "pause" to go into time shift it errors out.

Any one have ideas. This issue should also be in the logs posted above. Smile
Thanks!
Jake

Honestly...save yourself the hassle, buy a supported card like a Hauppauge PVR150 etc. Sorry.

Yeah I know... I have been thinking about it. Being summer and all, $$ is a little tight right now. Sad

Frinky77,

Did you get your card working? I just bought one and am having trouble with it. I get dTV to work for Live TV with audio but I can't get it to record a show (the file is always empty). I used the standard BDA setup for that.

I'm trying to get SoftwareRecorder to work on the analog side but I can't. There is no audio connector to the sound card, everything is through the PCI bus. I get an error that I can't use the same pin as for video.

I included my log files, and screen captures for my graphedit for audio and video.

Normanr, got any ideas for the analog side?

Thanks,

Bigbus
