Does your graph create a playable file using graphedit?

It looks as if for some reason the playback is starting at a point before 0. the graphRecorder is doing the playback not the record.

Also you shouldn't need to do anything to initialize the drivers (check it by running graph edit) - but if so you can set an exe to run before the recording starts on the first tab.

I also see its not a show but a manuall record - maybe that creates the time index issue, try to record a show in the program guide,.

Same with GraphEdit. My filter plays but only after I have launched WINDVR. Also, when you suggest running an exe, do you mean to execute WINDVR?
Thanks for your help.

Sorry, forgot to add that it also happens with scheduled recordings.

I am not too sure - you'll need to execute whatever allows you to use the filters. Or perhaps you can run winDVR on login and it running in the background.

The other issue is actually fixable - now that I read the log closer its a string issue... nothing to do with media - I'll put some checks for the issue and attach a file with a fix later.

CV,

Many thanks. I look forward to getting the fix as I would really like to use GBPVR as my media center.

The issue is the filename (on the gbpvr writer filter) in your graph has no extension (in fact it looks like it is completely blank) - graph recorder uses that extension to tell GBPVR what to rename the file in case the graph does not write an MPG. I'd suggest putting a filename in with an extension.. any will do. But this DLL should ignore the issue and assumes you want an MPG written,

You are the man! Can't thank you enough. I am now recording. However, when I play it back it pauses for a split second about every two seconds. Guess I need to work on my graph. Once again many thanks for the immediate fix.

By the way, please excuse my ignorance, but where do I specify the filename for gbpvr writer. In graphedit I can't bring up the properties page.

Two things - playback typically has nothing to do with the graphRecorder plugin and your recording graph (with the exception of if your graph creates bad files or if you are playing and recording at the same time you are using CPU cycles for both recording and playing). You'll have to play with which decoder and which renderer you use to improve playback. (ffdshow and mpv are good bets on the decoder side)

For the filename usually when you drop the filter in it asks for you to specify a file. So you'll likely need to delete the filter and re-add it.

Thanks for the advice. I am currently using ffdshow. Time for a memory upgrade!
