Nice work! This is the closest ive been to escaping the useless MSIPVR app that comes bundled with my TV card - MSI TV@nywhere. Its very close - but not quite there - i can get the card setup and the chanels setup, but when i come to view anything in 'Live TV' i just get a blue screen.

I was trying to get the Graphedit program to work earlier so i could send some debug info back to the board when i noticed that if i right clicked on my filter (?) and chose 'Filter Properties' > 'Autotune' it seems to be switching the chanels in GBPVR (ie: the blue screen goes fuzzy for a second, then blue again, then fuzzy..)

Is that useful at all? Tongue

When you use preview mode live tv it should create a lastgraph.grf file in the gb-pvr folder that you can load in GraphEdit.

What is your sound source? If you play around with Windows Mixer during LiveTV can you get sound?

Hi, I came over this page and I've tried to install gbpvr on my laptop with msi vox usb2 with your helpfull tool. I have two issues. It's impossible to choose the wdm-driver from channel setup, and recordertest.exe crashes when I select softwarerecorder with record tv/record fm/preview tv. message: could not find audio mixing source. My soundcard is an onboard Crystal WDM Audio. Am I doing somthing wrong here? Thanks!

Well i never! Ive got it nearly working with an MSI TV@nywhere! I only have a cheap portable antenna right now so im not sure what quality is like - but i can definitely get pictures and sound at the same time. Not great pictures and sound - but both none the less.

How did i do it? I downloaded some BETA MSI drivers from their website, uninstalled my TV@nywhere drivers, updated the drivers with the beta ones and hey presto! (i never even had to reboot!Wink

I urge all my fellow TV@nywhere users to head on over to

http://forum.msi.com.tw/index.php?board=34.0

where you can get some working drivers at last! Thanks for a great plugin Norman!

Shufter.

tipstir: i hear you pain. I had my setup working 100%, and then I tried different drivers. Now even after I've returned to 'working' drivers the plugin is breaking in wierd-i-thought-it-was-working-fine places.

fyi: the software recorder plugin stores it's config in the registry under local_machine\gbpvr\softwarerecorder. (I may be changing this to a softwarerecorder.xml in the gbpvr folder in the next version).

noff: did you remember to config the device first? you will need to copy all of the files in the gbpvr folder into the main gbpvr folder in order to get the config app to pick the plugins up. Also you will need 0.90.10 or later to be able to use recording plugins.

Yes. I am able to configure the WDM-device in config app (incl. country, sound, etc.), but it doesn't show up in channel setup (separate app, right?) afterwards. Another thing: it is impossible to delete a capture device, without reinstalling the GB-PVR. (That could be a bug in GB-PVR itself)

It should show up in the 'Recording Source' selection box that contains 'Direct Recording Plugin' and 'GO7007SB Recording Plugin'. See the QucikStart guide for more info.

I know. It shows up here(this section works well), but not in the channel setup app afterwards. Sorry for my blurryness...

noff: channel setup app? are you talking about the tuning helper? I doubt that it currently supports the recorder plugin framework. You'll probably have to enter your channels manually.
