OK, I was looking over this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ngl&page=2
And while it seems to have nothing to do with my problem, it fixed my problem for me, well kind of.
It gave me the idea to start screwing with the video acceleration in WMP. So I started by turning video acceleration off, ok, now my movie works, then i set it to the middle setting, movie still works. so i started adjusting the setting one at a time, and found it was the "Overlay" Setting. once I disabled that my movie plays fine. It still plays in your plugin just fine. no worries now.

Only one small problem. How does the download work exactly? I downloaded close encounters in 500kbs mode, and the video is not good. So I tried re-d-loading bullitt in a higher setting, and left the netflix plugin run all night, (well, GBPVR screen saver) and it downloaded .2% and i cannot get it to d-load more. Is it because the screen saver came on? and can the plugin d-load while GBPVR is doing other things, like watching DVD or Recordings?

The download will continue to run as long as GBPVR is running. You can exit the plugin and use other functions in GBPVR without interrupting the download. It runs in a background thread so it will only get cancelled when you manually cancel it or exit GBPVR completely.

Your problem is probably due to the fact that you didn't delete the download that you started. It would have tried to resume the download but with it being a different bitrate, that would cause some problems. Delete the wmv and xml file for that movie then try downloading it again. You will need to delete it manually in Windows.

Glad to hear that you got it working though. I was stumped.

And now that you got it working, I'm going to break it with the next build. Big Grin

Just kidding. Only TV series will be affected by the changes but I will be adding code to let the plugin automatically handle the XML file conversion to the new format.

OK, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I choose download and the verification window pops up. However, whenever I go to check my download list it tells me that there are no current downloads. plus when I go to the folder where the files should be downloaded to, there are no movie files there.

Can you zip and post your PVRx2*.log files? And are you running on Vista? If so, the files may be getting saved in the virtual store folder.

Not sure if the issue is related, but normally my downloads do not appear until they complete and I exit GBPVR. Once I go back in the downloads appear correct. I too am running Vista (to resolve a standby issue with XP).
It's likely just a refresh issue. During the download, I wouldn't expect it to appear anyway because the temp file(s) is stored in a cache directory.

Note that if I start a download, wait a few minutes, then go back into the movie listing, the watch it now button appears and will start the movie (without having to exit GBPVR). So you may be having a different issue if your symptoms are different than my description of 'normal'.

That's not how it should work but I'm making some changes should fix that for the next build anyway. It may take a couple of minutes for it to show up in the download list because it seems that Netflix creates the stream on demand and there can be a small delay while it is being created.
