its a xml bug, KingArgyle would know the answer, im going to put all the pin numbers into the database shortly, which will fix the problem (with files, not with folders) until then just rename them, annoying i know but, to lazy to try and figure it out, last day of holidays, uni tomorrow, dont really want to do any programming today.

oh did this happen with previous version of my videos? it crashs since xml has special characters and these letters have to be displayed in unicode (well i think unicode) eg & you have to write as &

No, I didn't see this behaviour with earlier versions. The file was sitting on my harddisk for quite a while and all of a sudden I got this error.

yeah i suspect it never would have worked, ill probably add the pins to the database sometime this week, first couple of weeks of uni usually dont have much to do, by the third week we usually have about 5 assigments due, fun fun fun!

One thing i think should be fixed if, you press ok the view the new video deatails page, if there is not an entry into the db it crashes mvp..

if there is no info it will do a lookup, just the same way as pushing the red button.

- PINs are now stored in "PinNumbers" table in database (this table will be created for you the first time you run it, so no need to replace the database).
- Edit Title - added to edit menu, allows you to edit the title for the selected video (via onscreen keyboard)
- Edit SubTitle - added to edit menu, allows you to edit the subtitle for the selected video (via onscreen keyboard); this is the name that is displayed.
- I moved "MaxDescLength" to the skin.xml file, since its more of a skinning issue than config issue, since different skins will need this to be different values.

Fixed
- Fixed a bug with the popup menu where pushing "back" sometimes made crazy jumps to over parts of the menu.
- InfoScreen pushing left/right or Blue/Yellow now keeps focus on the selected button.
- The "Lock" graphic no longer appears on a "Parent" directory item.

Added Then Removed
- Added support for external player, then sub went and added the only reason i was using an external player to the next release, so i removed it (was using zoomplayer to zoom in on dvds, but aspect ratios are coming!.

this version is pretty stable, been running it for a few days (minor alterations from the one i was running thou, but nothing major).  the pin numbers seem to work without any issues, so you can have all the funny characters in the files you want (just not in the folders, still using the xml file for the directory view memory).

note:
all the pins you have set WILL BE LOST, the master pin will remain the same however, since the pins were kept in the myvideos.xml file and now are kept in the database, but the master pin is still in the config file.  no biggy, just readd them.  

find any bugs, have any suggestions you have about 2 weeks before i get to insainly busy to work on these, so better hurry up if you want a feature.

ok i think its an error in your language.xml file, it does try and translate a few things when the lookup is done and before it adds it to the database, ("out of 10" and "votes cast" i think those are the only two). try renaming language.xml to say language.xml.backup and run it again.

i forgot to mention, that this is the only file producing the error, the other movies work well. but i will try it, thank your for the help.

ok if its only happening to one file, then it wont be the language.xml file (sorry i cant read german, i had to make a guess). can you give me the exact filename of the file creating the error. also what version of my videos are you running?
