Just wanted to add that this works correctly with the ATI All-in-Wonder 9000 Radeon Pro.

(And I'm so happy, too -- GuidePlus and the ATI MMC were just plain horrendous.)

Keep up the great work!

Having a problem with this plugin and don't know where to turn. I have an MSI TVAnywhere Plus card.

GB-PVR is installed and I can watch live TV, see the TV guide, and seems good. I have the plugin installed and setup as well as the ATI MPEG-2 converter (have an ATI card graphics card also).

I set it up to record and it will create a folder with the show name and then not record. I looked through the logs I can find but can't see a problem.

Can someone help me out with more places to look for the problem?

Thank you.

Yeah, I had that problem too. You'll also find that timeshift mode doesn't work. It's because the MPEG2 encoder you have set up doesn't work. Use the RecorderTest application and fiddle until you can create a recording in there. I found you need to add an absolute filename to the "name" box. Like C:\Test.mpg

Once that works, everything else should fall into place.

My solution was a little less elegant. I just returned the card for the $48 I bought it for and bought a PVR-150 for $65. The extra $$ is by far better than the headache.

I just got my ATI All-in-Wonder 2006 Edition AGP version to work. I used the ati avivio decoder.

Okay, this was working for me with my AIW 9000. Now it still works, but things aren't what they used to be. This could have happened when I upgraded GBPVR to 0.99.5.

1. I now have to enable "Preview Mode requires Audio to be rendered" to get any audio in Live TV mode. This wasn't the case earlier.

2. With "Preview Mode requires Audio to be rendered" enabled, the audio is out of sync with the video.

3. If I pause anything, the still image disappears after about 1 second.

I'm using ATI MPEG Video, ATI MPEG Audio and ATI MPEG demuxer.

The workaround is to run everything with preview mode off, but the slowness is driving me nuts when I change channels.

Any help is much appreciated!

(Edit: When I use ATI's TV application, everything works correctly. ie, audio/video in sync.)

I´m using it for quite some time with my PixelView PlayTV Pro Ultra (CX2388x chipset). This card is very common here in Brazil (and we just don´t have a way to buy a Hauppauge Card, the taxes make the card cost as much as my computer!!

- Using avivo ATI MPEG Video Encoder, ATI MPEG Audio Encoder and ATI MPEG demuxer.

- The colorspace must be set to YUY2 for any quality resolution above 640x480. (Or you´ll get a black screen)

- The preview and capture options must both be linked to the "capture" pin, if you use the preview you can´t use fddshow (as postprocessing on raw images).

- Also had more sucess using the ATI Video and Audio Decoders to play the files (must add then to config.xml list of supported decoders and select then on gbpvr config).

- For the pixelview playtv pro ultra on windows xp sp2, i´m using the drivers released on 04/2006, there are newer ones at the pixelview homepage (dated as 11/2006) but I haven´t tested then yet.

And that´s all...

I'm trying to configure an NVidia personal cinema card (WDM drivers) using the software recorder. I've added the card in the configuration menu, but every time I set up the "Recording Source" as "Video:Tuner" (instead of composite or Svideo) and the box below as "Video:Tuner, Audio:Tuner" and exit to save everything, it gets reset to the first option in the list for these 2 drop-down boxes (Composite). Any idea how I can make these settings stick? Everything else I change in the settings screen for this card stays when I exit.

Yeah, that's definitely a bug. Note that it does save those settings correctly to the config file. It's just when you go to edit it that they get ignored.

It bugs me enough that I'm considering fixing and recompiling it just to solve that problem.

Is this plugin truly abandoned? Anyone know if it's okay to pick up the source and play around with it?
