Yes, I think so. Its not supported by me, and the author of the plugin hasnt been hear for several months.

He made the source available, so I cant see why not.

We haven't seen normanr for months... I encourage you to work on it. I'd work on it but I don't know a thing about programming!

I have an ATI TV Wonder that I would test things for you on if you needed me to.

Hi there,

I post this on the hardware forum: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24694
I found this one, so I will explain my problem.

I added a AIW 7500 with my Elite Wonder. I put the AIW in second and all is working fine instead I can't record anything with my AIW. When I change the setting to capture I have no sound and video.
I can't send the log for the moment but when I'll be at home I'll do it.
Is it something special to change in the setting that I can do when I'll be home?
Thank you

I'm hoping that I'm missing something really dumb here. LiveTV works fine, Timeshifting fails with a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object", RecorderTest fails at SoftwareRecorder.SoftwareRecorder.SetupRecordingGraph (see logs\RecorderTest.exe.debug.txt in the attached zip). If I missed something in the log files, let me know what I need to do.

Downloaded & installed GB_PVR 0.99.05, .Net 2.0 & 1.1, and the SoftwareRecord plugin. I've tried Avivo and Elecard (couldn't get SR to recognized the LEAD video encoder) with the same results. One non-default is I've installed everything in C:\Program Files\gbpvr instead of devnz\gbpvr. (When I tried a standard install GBPVR couldn't find SR for some reason.)

Pinnacle PCTV Pro w/ BTWinCap 5.3.8 WDM drivers, WinXP SP2, Athlon XP 2000+ w/ nForce 420 motherboard+GPU. (Yes it's old. I just want to supplement my 300GB S1 TiVo.)

At first I couldn't understand why the quality looked so bad when I viewed a channel through the SoftwareRecord plugin but I've found out that it always defaults to a resolution of 320X120 despite whatever setting I set in the "Cpature Sources -> Edit (for the WDM Recording Plugin) -> Recording Source -> Settings ->Qualtiy Profile Settings"

I downloaded graphedit and low and behold, the resolution was set at 320x120, I manually changed it to 640x480 and ran it in graphedit and it worked great (video looked a lot better).

My question is: Is ther any way for me to save that setting so that gbpvr uses it when I view it in gbpvr. Even if I save the graph and then run gbpvr it resets itself. I'm guessing that there is a command somewhere in the plugin that sets these settings (and that it doens't really use the lastgraph.grf file to configure itself, rather it's a snapshot of the last setting).

Oh, so close... wonder if anybody has the answer? If so, it would be very much appreciated.

Edit: Will post the graph and the logs if anybody wants to see them

Don't forget to choose which quality profile you're changing before clicking the 'Edit' button to open the Quality Profile Window. You probably want to edit the LiveTVPreview setting.

You need to select an audio card in the capture source configuration.

Yes, sub needs to fix the plugin loading code, and then you should see another capture source without the bracketed comment. This doesn't reduce any functionaly, it's just a warning that it's in a sort of "compatibility" mode to deal with the plugin loading code.

I've added the card in the configuration menu, but every time I set up the "Recording Source" as "Video:Tuner" (instead of composite or Svideo) and the box below as "Video:Tuner, Audio:Tuner" and exit to save everything, it gets reset to the first option in the list for these 2 drop-down boxes (Composite). Any idea how I can make these settings stick? Everything else I change in the settings screen for this card stays when I exit.
I'm begining to think sub has broken the plugin saving code somehow. After you change settings try, hitting the all the OK buttons until the config app saves and restart the service. Then re-open it add see if your changes have persisted. (In the worse case you can use the recordertest to change your settings)
