For the Listings, I have it set up so that a right arrow moves one hour. I also have it set up to display three hours of listings at a time.

Right now, if the current time is in the second half of an hour (i.e. between 31 and 59 minutes past the hour) the listings are presented beginning at the half hour. This is as it shoulld be.

In the morning, when I set up the recordings I want for a day, I like to see the prime time shows (8:00-11:00) all on one screen. If I do this during the second half of an hour, after all the right clicks I can either see 7:30pm-10:30pm or 8:30pm-10:30pm.

I would like to see an override be added so a right click would move only a half hour. Preferably this would be a one shot deal because most times I want to move quicker through time so a one hour jump for a right/left click works out well. This override would be just to get the listings on an hour boundary so any other method you could provide to do the same would be just as welcome.

This is only a minor irritation to me, but since GBPVR does pretty much most of what everyone wants, what do you expect when you ask for suggestions for the User Interface?

1. it's already been said by different users & similar features: ability to group/categorise recordings & make it better readable in regard to navigation, i.e. child regular shows, child movies, crime shows, movies, whatever
2. another tought: how about a second recordings screen (in addition to the video library) with archived shows, video library does not have the descriptions...
3. ability to transcode from the recordings screen

#1: It would also be nice if there could be a feedback on the selected subtitle and language (audio), when playing a video or DVD.
#2: playback of blurays.

Thanks a million sub this great peace of software.

nothing dramatic, But I asked about this before. move the Update EPG button off of the top so if the pc is lagging an click ok 2 twice it will update the epg on me. I would prefer the default is "back" or even give a confirmation prompt before update the epg manually(defaulted to no)

One more thing. I like to see pluginhelperplaydvd() be able to accept a string title descritption which is shown on the osd.

Along those same lines, I'd like to see PlayVideoFile accept a list of chapters for chapter skipping. Either PlayVideoFile(string file, string description, string[] chapters) where the chapters would be a list like

Code:
00:00:00|Opening Credits
00:10:02|Chapter 2 Name

or PlayVideoFile(string file, string description, long[] chapterTimestamps, string[] chapterNames)
PlayVideoFile(string file, string description, long[] chapterTimestamps)

Of course, reading a Chapters.txt would be nice too. (Maybe it does this already with MKVs? I don't have any mkvs though.)

Could the above be persuaded to return a valid client ID at plugin constructor time?

Its often not known at plugin constructor time. For example, the MVP client connects later and the client identifer isnt known until then.

ISTR you said that before, if so apologies... Maybe a Notify event when the client connects instead?

MVP's and NMT's connects before a second "real" plugin constructor so you should be able to detect what you need then.
