when not playing led flashes on tv but nothing comes up on screen (no volume numbers),seems to do nothing (when i exit app volume is the same as it was before)

Actually crashes smart hub and goes to tuner but i have no Antenna

That is what I'm seeing as well if I hit volume up or down or mute it kicks me out to the regular TV tuner. Close the PVR app and smart hub.

Just curious how this is different than the Samsung app by reven? Thanks.

This app can have video folders ravern does not as you can play live TV and recordings that are in nextpvr database. I think that is about it.

Similar, but with this one NextPVR itself is generating the user interface that is shown, so you get exact screens/buttons/look that you do with NextPVR on a PC. Reven's used a slightly different approach, generating a UI that looks similar NextPVR, but only provides a subset of the screens and scheduling options etc.

Reven's UI has the potential to be a bit smoother, with the ability to show animations etc. Fred's has the advantage of always being up to date with any new features added in NextPVR.

Or no error when trying to play. It just return from the view recording dialog back to the list recordings screen.

If you are running nextpvr 2.4.3 as stated in your post that is the issue, this requires version 3.2.9.
