I have the latest drivers installed from the Hauppauge site and I've entered the Registry keys, is that going to fix it, or do I need the specific versions listed in this thread?

TIA as usual.

I have been using the 24108 drivers (I believe these are the most current) for a long time.....no problems with the reg fix.....I did need the reg fix to address the invalid timeline issue I was having.

Thanx. I guess I'll find out over time. Smile

I've written a wiki page addressing this timestamp issue. If anyone can think of something I've missed or written in error, please comment

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/TimeStampIssue

Perhaps we can edit the first post in this sticky and add the wiki link there....

Good page, having a link to it in this thread is a good idea. I've added a few simple clarifications and created a link to it on the Hardare/PVR150 page in the wiki as well.

Thanks!

My computer recently had the PVR150 timestamp bug... So I went through the steps in the wiki, and un-installed and re-installed the drivers... The 1 recording it's done since then worked perfectly.

So I took my recordings that were wrong, and re-encoded them in Zprocess... That made them appear correctly on my computer, but on my MVP they now show up as 1-second recordings...

So I tried using Re-time (only tried this on one of them), and same issue... Fine on the computer, timeline wrong on the MVP...

What am I doing wrong????

Are those ~15 recordings just screwed on the MVP?

5 Hard-drives, total 1.8 TB
GB running on my PC, as well as two wired MVPs.

Re-Time usually will fix the timestamp errored file. ZProcess also employs MEncoder and FFmpeg to re-encode videos. During all of the re-encoding options the flawed files are renamed and a corrected file is created. Is it possible that you have been trying to view the faulty, non-corrected file with the MVP?

Either way, it does not seem like you are doing anything wrong. I have had recordings that just will not straighten up. But if you'd like to discuss this further while using ZProcess, I invite you to the sub-forum....

I remember a comment by sub on a similar problem and the answer was that the MVP generates it's timeline from the first timestamp and the last timestamp, and the PC does it differently which results in the timeline looking good on the PC (even though there is a problem still) and the timeline being screwed up on the MVP. Also I have read some comments that the retiming programs don't always fix the timing issues. Sounds like that is what you are seeing.
What happens if you convert to an AVI and tried to play it? The file would be reconverted back to mpg as it is played but maybe the timeline will look right on the MVP.

I have a PVR 150 with the timeline issue. I've tried all the drivers in this thread plus the most recent with no success. I didn't have this problem with the GBPVR untill the last couple upgrades. Is there somewhere I can download some older versions to try?
