Can GB-PVR use the both the NTSC and QAM tuners (not at the same time) so that I can record both analog cable and QAM cable channels?
Thanks,

I think the NTSC tuner on this device lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder, so isnt compatible with GB-PVR.

You are correct sub. It can only use a software encoder.

Is there anything I can send you to help figure out what the problem is?

Did that setting seem to resolve the problem?

I suspect it relates to the same thing I'm tracking down here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=23407

yes, the setting worked (<BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser>). How do I get you a transport stream file?

I think the TSReader app can record them, but I'm not 100% it supports QAM.

Hey All,
I have a question that I hope that some of you can answer. I have the OnAir GT and it seems to work perfectly with GBPVR except that I have to run the supplied OnAir GT software before I can the GB-PVR to see any channels. For example: I restart my computer and run GB-PVR it will show me an error and can not see the signal. If instead I run the OnAir GT Program for watching TV, close it, open GB-PVR and then try to watch tv it works. Lookng for suggestions? Thanks!

In addition to having to run the OnAir program. I am also receiving two errors that pop up sometimes. One error is a memory already in use notice and the other is related to signal strength. Note on the signal strength issue. The mapping program has no problem finding and displaying the channel. Additionally, the onair program shows a signal strength between 33 and 30 db depending on the channel. It has no problem syncing.
Anyway, I have attached screen shots that seem useful. Cheers, Ben |
