If you've been trying to follow my posts, you may also have noticed how little Syabas has given me to go on.
The don't even provide an interface to user apps

Considering this I think I have made pretty good progress beyond the videos I've posted but there has been a lot of trial and error too. I am disappointed that I can't do what I want with internet radio and this is frustrating me, but the work with emulation mode is definitely coming along. I am hoping with sub's help I can provide something that is faster than then you get with pvrx2 -pch but I still don't think the package will be integrated as the mvp offers.

As for full mvpmc that may be months away.

Thanks for the update, we're all pretty excited believe me!

Yeah Syabas has not given you a lot to go on (cf what you asked for), it sems they are concentrating on other things, short of tech staff etc. but it sound like (e.g. with their firmware) they want to get it right and test stuff before they release it.

Thanks for the info, Martin. I hope we can test something for you pretty soon!

Chris, I actually am hoping to let sub deciding when testing starts. No matter what the quality of the client is, GBPVR's functionality is what is going to be evaluated.

For now I suggest seeing if you can get telnet enabled

OK, I'll try this sometime soon. It would be nice if I got something working for a change (multidec troubles).

Well, with a usb stick it's very easy. I got the message that telnet is up on port 23. I didn't test anything else, though.

BTW, nice explanation on the NMT forum about your emulation efforts.

:confused:I could have sworn I posted yesterday asking how you did this...maybe I forget to press submit! Anyway, I'm still a bit confused. I couldn't find lundman's post how to access telnet on NMT, only emveepee's (Martin's) post here for access w/o an internal drive (i.e.. USB).

There's a bit here, with some scripts, but I'm not sure if this is where I want to be?

I'd like to do this to be ready to help with logs ... Smile

Download this: http://erlis.se/PCH/telnetd-usb.zip
Unzip and copy busybox26, script.cgi and telnet.html to your USB stick. Follow Lundman's advise: "Now insert the USB device in the Popcorn Hour and navigate to it from the Media Source start page. Click on the telnet.html file and activate. If all goes well your TV screen turns white and reads "Telnetd started on port 23..........." ."

Good luck,
Chris
