Mach1na Wrote:Right I'm getting somewhere. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled everything. I can manually transcode a 1 minute file which plays great on my MVP. When I select an avi, zprocess and hunter popup and then disappear.

My MVP then reboots itself.

Any ideas?

Edit:

The problem was that Zprocess was registering the fmpeg location as being the directory where I originally downloaded it. Everything works a charm now. Fantastic utility! All I need to do now if figure why the gbpver menu always stays the same size (top and bottom offscreen) even after entering new offset and size information into the config.xml.

I'm happy that's it's working.

I should point out that the menu aspect ratios are handled differently then ZProcess. (That's why ZProcess was inveted in the first place, because nothing else existed that would help adjust the video playback)

But the menus are controlled in the config.xml. (You know that... I know)

A great tool I use to help set the values is MyScreenPosition. Be sure that you enter your MVPs MAC address into the config

zehd: I just wanted to say a big thanks for ZProcess. I have been using it stand-alone to batch convert loads of my recordings to xvid and it works perfectly.

Cheers!

Thanks for your work

I've just a problem with Hunter

When I stop playing an avi on the MVP, ZProcess is closed and in hunter the process Zprocess goes to false.
But, the transcoding window don't close.
When I click Kill this, the transcoding window close.
Why Hunter don't close the window automaticaly ?
(I'm admin on XP pro SP1, Zprocess 1.0.0.661)

It may have been a glitch that I may have solved with the newest build...

It's up, by itself on the wiki. Just not labled as such. (Too tired to change that description)

THe latest build is 665. Should be the same hunter from the last while. Keep me informed. I have something else cooking that's going to require me to change Hunter again. But I'll need time...

zehd,
i'm getting the message
"Must be MPG to Comskip! .....etc"
not a problem - BUT
these are dvr-ms files from live recordings - which are not supported by comskip - have been for a while I believe.

Can you fix this -
its a bit silly if I have to go dvr-ms - mpeg ->comskip

Now at version 1.0.667

NOTE. Hunter.exe was tweaked and will only work with ver 667. Likewise, ZProcess 667 will only work with the new Hunter.exe. Please download the whole ZIP to upgrade…

The reason for the small change is so there can be several ZProcess processes running and controlling their own hunters.

As such, please download and install the whole ZProcess.zip.... You should NOT have to run either the 'removeZprocess.reg' or Install.bat. Just copy hunter.exe and ffmpeg.exe into the FFMPEG folder...

This change is to allow for my plan to introduce a version of ZProcess that will allow a person to transcode on the fly two or more MVP sessions, while still post processing a recorded TV. (But the WILL require a powerful server)

Anyway, good luck, and post questions if you have them...

Thanks

hmmm > which are not supported by comskip - have been for a while I believe.

Is that a Typo? should that be that dvr-ms files are NOW supported by Comskip?

I'll look into it. Must admit though, I don't really know much about dvr-ms...

Wanna ask you a question... Without ZProcess, would you simply run ComSkip in the PostProcessing.bat like

comskip.exe %1

If so, I suspect I would have no problem. ComClean might be a problem...

yep zehd - sorry about that -
are NOW supported.

yeah straight comskip %1
works for dvr-ms no problems -
had it in postprocessing.bat.

a couple of the filemasks need to change as nothing picks up dvr-ms currently.

dvr-ms is i think a wrapper around whats really a mpg file -

currently gbpvr is set to conver dvr-ms to mpeg early in the morning.
but it would be nice to get it all automated together

I'd be happy to add dvr-ms as an allowed file. But It won't work with ComClean or Transcoding with ffmpeg.

I wonder if Sub is using ffmpeg to to the conversions from dvr-ms to mpeg. I checked ffmpeg docs, and doesn't seem to be a supported input file... (I'll PM him)

If he's not, and ZProcess does not use a different transcoder, you will not be able to use any other feature in ZProcess.. And if your are only detecting commercials, and not cutting or transcoding, why not just leave the 'comskip %1' line in the postprocessing.bat?

Anyway, I'll be updating ZProcess and have it out momentarily...

Edit: Updated ZProcess to 670. Includes access to dvr-ms files through the file browser on the first tab, and 'Do ComSkip' will now allow that as a filetype...
