i get the same behavior/errors if I dont first start the onair program, but shows will still record. I also get gbpvr crash trying to initiate timeshift.

Also i did set <BDAUsePsiParser> to false in the config.xml but i didnt notice any changes.

I have two tuners for my GB-PVR, WinTV PVR-250 and the OnAir USB HDTV GT. I can record analog cable channels using the PVR-250 but when I try to record an HD channel the file size shows 0 or 2KB for a minute or so and then it jumps to 23 or 38 MB but then never changes, the CPU jumps up to around 50% and the recording seems to hang. I can't cancel the recording. I end up bouncing the service and then I can cancel it. I am currently using the CyberLink Mux. I think I maybe in over my head on this one. Any ideas?
I have attached a zip of my logs.

It may not help, but try using the DVR-MS mux option instead of the Cyberlink one. The Cyberlink one seems to have difficulties with HDTV content.

Did the file get created and grow? Can you play it in Windows Media Player?

Yes, it did get created and it grew to almost 300 MB for 4-5 minutes of content. It also ended on it's own when the show ended. I can play it in Windows Media player.

Ok, well thats reasonably good news. So at least we know its a playback problem.

The logs look like directshow is failing to pick the right combination of components to play a .dvr-ms file. I'm not sure why though, and havnt come across it before.

It doesnt fix the dvr-ms playback problem, but another option would be to try recording using the 'ts mux' multiplexer option. You'd need to install the HDTV Pump filter to make sure you could play these recordings:
http://dvbportal.dyn1.de/download.php?fi...-1.0.7.zip
. After installing HDTV pump, the recordings will play in GB-PVR or Windows Media Player or other directshow apps.

I installed the HDTV Pump filter and the program recorded just fine and I can play it back in Windows Media Player and it looks great but I still can't play it back in GB-PVR ( I get "Error: Failure playing back file").

I have tried all three of my Video Decoder settings (System Default, Intervideo NonCSS Video Decoder and NVIDIA Video Decoder). Which of these should I be using?

I have an ATI Radeon x1300 video card, should I be using an ATI video decoder?

Thanks for you help, any other ideas? I have attached my logs
