I checked on 2001: A Space Oddessy and it is indeed too large a filesize at the highest bitrate. The .Net HttpWebRequest has a filesize limit of 2 Gb and I was hoping not to run into a movie that was larger than that. I will need to code a workaround in this scenario.

I tested everything out on the PC and then sat down with wife at TV.
Problem: Using "second monitor" config option for GBPVR, when I "watch now", the movie starts up on the PC monitor instead of the TV. A work around would be for me to change the directory where the movie downloads and then use GBPVR option to watch a video library file instead. But, is this my setting or just an alpha issue with second monitor displaying of the playback movie? (Note that the TV continues to show the Netflix movie listings).

Can't get it to show up on the menu. It's in there in the plugins in the config, but doesn't showup on the menu.

chemie, I've not tested this with a second monitor. As a test, can you <ALT>+<ENTER> to take it out of fullscreen mode and drag it to the second monitor? You can then <ALT>+<ENTER> again to resume fullscreen. If it plays on the second monitor then, I will see about trying to start it on the second monitor.

alt-enter and dragging it over worked but it would not play full screen. I tried alt-enter and also tried to force the PC full screen over with a hotkey command from Ultramon which I use to help manage dual screen. It only shows small screen.
Also, the sound stayed on the PC instead of using the PVRX2 settings. Seems the problem is with the way the plugin is getting the movie to play via WMV or something instead of using PVRX2 to display and sound. (Also, my work around did not work...it would not play; I assume DRM or something was stopping playing it as a video library file) |
