oops, I appear to have broken it.

it was working ok but now I get a runtime error 13 - type mismatch when I try and launch the app.

I seem to recall clicking on the desc field and then it crashed. i have deleted any files that are lying about but no joy.

Two places to look. Registry settings.... I've included a reg file that will remove all settings, effectively bringing the program to it's defaults...

Also, it's possible that you are trying to re-process a processed file. Although this should still work as my output files are supposed to be DTD compliant...

I will have to build better error checking into the tags. By making a small error with the typing, and it could throw off the whole thing... and don't want that...

I have worked on the online Season/Episode numbering. Worked on several cases of existence and non existence, and exact matches and close matches etc...

I have tried to make it as quick as possible on subsequent downloads...

I'll be updating the wiki to show how to use it.... It's sort of the way I described a few posts back.

Also, if you get into trouble I've included a reg file that will kill any settings and return the Enhancer to defaults...

carpeVideo Wrote:zehd - great tool, I had one more enhancement request -

Ixmltv and epgextra allow you to append the star rating and/or year to the title of movies so you can see them directly on the guide ie: Derailed (3.5*) (2003) - in some cases people might want this and to create the ratings as a category
Also I think Ixmltv allows you to choose your rating text ie 4* or 4 stars or 4/5 (you get the point).

Cheers,

CV

Also FYI your utility is hard find on the wiki - it doesn't show up in the left menu bar under utilities.

I have added this feature. I have it set that it will only tag the title when it is a movie. This technique only works for the NA guides...

Edit: I was able to build in Movie Detection for most samples I received, so this should work for the guys that sent me samples...

UltraXMLTV Enhancer ver .70 is released

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/UltraXMLTV

Biggest new feature is the episode lookup. Here's a run down on how to get this working for you.

1. open the program, click "config Episodes". Click Both check boxes at the top. In the Action, select 'Prepend to Sub-title'... Close the episodes sub form

2. Click Go.

This will create a subdirectory in the app.path, to store the downloaded xml and html for episode information.

It will fetch tvdb data for each show that is in your Recording Schedule + extra shows you wanted to grab info for (that was added in the episode sub-form -- we'll talk about that later)

This first time should be the longest as it will be the first time. Subsequent passes will not need to download everything, and will be able to reuse some of the data.

Then it will start to processing of the xmltv file. When it finds a show that is in the GB-PVR Recording Schedule, it checks to see if it can get Season and Episode Information from the downloaded TVdb xml data. If it can't (brand new show that hasn't been put in database yet) it will right then and there try and download data from epguides.com for a second opinion. If it still can't find anything, it will give up.

---
Of course, the speed of this new feature depends on your internet connection and the amount of shows you have in your Recording Schedule. The connection is fast and doesn't download that much. And the first pass does detect many shows that will not need to be downloaded ever again, saving bandwidth.

While processing the TV records and it takes a moment to get that second opinion from epguides, you will see just how fast a single lookup is. It's not as fast as having local data, but usually once downloaded, it won't have to do it again...

---
I have it now logging whenever a title/sub-title combination fails to get data from either tvdb.com or epguides.com. It's possible that the data exists, but I have to tweak the program to help it find the data. If you have a show that you know it should have data, send me the log and I will try to make the program find the data...

Currently a couple of shows, (and more I'm sure) won't work right, but I will be adding support for them soon..

New Bionic Woman=BionicWoman_2007
Old Bionic Woman=BionicWoman
New Battlestar Galactica=BattlestarGalactica
Old Battlestar Galactica=BattlestarGalactica_1978

As you can see there's no standard. The newer shows can or don't have the new year...

----

Anyway. Good Luck

Not as much changed between the .70 and .80 except I cleaned some stuff up and tweaked...

But I have also included a smaller companion util that will rename your files for you when you are done recording.

In a way it's similar to ZRename, except it doesn't do any of the online lookup. That's all been done by the Enhancer.

Here's how to get it working...

First, in the Enhancer, make sure that your have enabled online lookup in the 'config Episodes' sub form. I suggest that you 'prepend' the season/Episode Numbers to the sub-title. When it all comes together you'll end up with something like... Star.Trek-S01E01-The.Man.Trap.mpg

Make sure that you have run the enhancer once through already, you've committed the file, and you've already imported it into GB-PVR. That part is still the same. Lots of instructions on that...

Next you have to make sure that the new renamer is in the PostProcessing.bat inside your GB-PVR folder...

THere's an example PostProcessing.bat included with the zip, but the command line is: C:\EPG\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer\UltraXMLTV_Renamer.exe %1

Here's a couple of things I would caution you. If you have comskip running either 'during the recording' (setup inside the GB-PVR config) or with a ParallelProcessing.bat, then you have nothing to worry about.

If you have comskip to run after, but it's setup to run without a PostProcessing.bat (you configed it in the GB-PVR config, to run after a recording) you should either add it to before the rename in the PostProcessing.bat, or change to let it work concurrent with the recording.

In other words. You should not have comskip running after a recording, unless it is in the PostProcessing.bat...

---

When it runs, the Renamer takes the newly recorded filespec and gets its id from the recording schedule table in the gbpvr database. It then looks up the title and subtitle for the programme. If the Enhancer did it's job, the subtitle should have the new season/episode numbers. It assembles the title with the subtitle and then renames all files in the directory, so the log and comskip files are renamed too. Then it changes the entry in the database.

If there is ever a case when there is no season/episode information, then the program will just have a Title-Subtitle combination. Star.Trek-The.Man.Trap.mpg

If there is a case when there is no season/episode information, and no subtitle, then the program will auto increment the filenames...

The.Simpsons.mpg, The.Simpsons(2).mpg, The.Simpsons(3).mpg, The.Simpsons(4).mpg

Added support for Genre Colours. You can now group several items (Basketball, Curling, Hockey) into Groups (Sports), assign a genre colour for just that group, and apply it straight into the GB-PVR db...

First step, you have to run through a process with the Gather Categories option checked. THen your have to Update the EPG so that those new categories are now in the GB-PVR database.

On the Categories details screen, you can now select Items from Gathered Genres list and add them to a specifc group. Notice how when you select a group, the display colour changes. You can adjust the colour here too...

When you have all the item categorized, click Send to GB-PVR. The results are immediate. You can open the Guide and see the colours...

For anyone that has been timid about trying the enhancer because I've been making a lot of changes lately, the coast is clear...!

I'm pretty much done what I wanted to do with the Enhancer (and renamer) Now it's just a matter of tweaking and debugging...

Good luck all
