I've just logged in to my ewa (localhost:8866) and this is the screen I get (I've seen no logos on here or on the ewa)...
To see your logos on NEWA, you need to login on the NEWA Config tab and near the bottom of the Guide Settings section you can tick the radio check box to display Channel Icons.

Actually, I've just done a quick search and found this:

http://nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Me...annelLogos

which allows you to download the uk channels Smile

Hi Alex,

Thanks for this, while I was running through the settings I saw this and took a chance I'd need to enable it Smile I think the issue for me is, I just don't have the icons on my pc for the UK. Its a mistake on my part - nothing wrong with nextpvr or the fab plex channel Smile

That being said, I'm still having the trouble with the encoding... When my downloaded programmes move to plex, they are all either MP4 or MKV files, however NextPVR sets mine as MPEG-2 TS Video - Is there a way to choose MP4/MKV?

Yeah. There may be UK channel packs already? I've not looked. The image name needs to be the channel name as you can see in that log list.

The logos on the wiki are excellent - great work by Lao Pan - if any don't display, as psycik says, the logo name needs to exactly match your channel name.

'Fraid I've no experience of plex so can't help with the encoding stuff...

No plex works by taking whatever the videos are natively and converting them to what the client requires upon viewing. Same with live TV. There's no conversion at rest. Videos are converted as and when needed to something the client will read. So if you're mpeg2 based and trying to view on an iphone say, it will convert on the fly to mp4 h.264. Which requires a fair bit of CPU grunt.

Hey, Yeah I get exactly what you mean - but I was wondering if there is a way to record on NextPVR as either an MP4 or MKV file - meaning that plex doesnt need to do the transcoding and speeding up the loading Wink
Its not a problem at all and this channel is fantastic! Its filled a massive gap and has meant that we can watch our home recordings no matter where we are and its saved me having to install an TV antenna through to the bedroom when we are always using the Roku box so its perfect for us - I was just wondering if recording in a different format was an option.

You can do what you want. Have a look in the wiki for post processing scripts. They can be set up to automatically transcode a file (using ffmpeg/handbrake) and update the DB with the new file.

Just saw this plugin.

Do I understand this plugin properly...

If I have plex server set up and I have plex installed on my android phone and then I unzip this plugin onto the server in the plex plugin folder...

I can then stream iivetv to my phone?

I've tried that but the phone says "connection to server was reset" so I must be misunderstanding something or have missed a step.

Did development stop on this idea? If not, From my android when I click on a live channel I get "the connection to the server was lost" error message. Strange because I'm on my LAN and routinely stream on my LAN from the NPVR server to NPVR windows clients.
