pBS Wrote:well, ya have to highlight a file. then hit "Transcode" button...a dialog will pop up.in it you'll see filename then below a profile name, then start/cancel buttons..
move down to the profile part and hit left/right to change profile..
then hit start...

...and this is where nothing happens. The transcode options are (from memory) - Xvid, DivX, Ipod, PSP, 3GP - then back to Xvid. Nothing about DVD profiles at all.

hmmmm, check the config.xml for the profiles section...if they're in there then you should see them...but may be problem adding them to config so see if they're in there..
also check to make sure files are in dvd-que...
oh, and restart the gbpvr gui and rec. service so profiles show up..[if haven't yet]

you do see the transcode button in "Video Library" right?
that's the only place it shows up..not recordings screen..

Aaaaaah.... this is PC only?

The behaviour I described is via MVP; I just checked on the PC and it's fine.

Doesn't this work over MVP?

hey, it should! hmmm...
still may be a skin thing tho...
using same skin on MVP?
i'm not using mine right now but i can crank it up to see..tho it shouldn't behave any different on MVP>..doesn't use anything in gbpvr except transcode buttons and those *should* work fine on mvp...

that's partly the reason i designed it this way...so would be MVP compatible..
so let me know if still can't get it working from MVP...
if it works from pc it should..

Okay, I'll try again tonight. I have the Transcode button visible, and all other options... strange.

I wondered myslef if it was maybe a skinning issue, but I tried it with 2, including default blue.

Thanks for the help!

hmmm, might even wanna try unpluggin the mvp and back in....
not sure why it would be any different there..but the gui does have to be 'restarted' so maybe on mvp it needs total restart to reload gui including new profiles..?

just a thought...

This may be of use to others, but after unplugging and rebooting the MVP it now shows up fine.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me w/ this one. I've been reading and searching for hours and can't seem to find the answer.

I've dloaded the 'Showburner 2' utility, ran the installer, and tried to follow the steps to burn some shows I've recorded. If I go to video library>"my tv show", highlight the show and click transcode, it pops up the file/profile window. From there, I select the show for the file, select "add for DVD burning" for profile and click start.

From there, I highlight the show again, click transcode, change the profile to "Burn DVD" and click start.

From here, it seems like it's trying to process, but I get an ImgBurn error window that pops up that says "'C:\Documents and Settings\...\VIDEO_TS\' File or folder does not exist!"

I've already created the folder, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Are there any other utilities/plugins I should be dloading/installing besides Showburner 2? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

hmmm, when you installed, where did you chooose for it to place the temp files?
[it adjusts this during install, and writes changes into burndvd.bat]
you can manually adjust that tho, in \third party\burndvd.bat, look near the beginning for "set dvdtemp=" and make that path where you want the temp files to go...

anyways, check that line and if the dir exists, let me know and we'll go from there..also may want to check dvd-que in showburner dir for the added files...

possible problem..i found i didn't have quotes around the dvd temp dir variable so that may have been the problem...
working on a fix for the main d/l but you can adjust yourself...Smile
only a couple places where it's used actually,

[set dvdtemp=X:\xxxx\xxxx]
NO quotes here...

[rd /s /q %dvdtemp%\video_ts ]
adjust to: [rd /s /q "%dvdtemp%\video_ts"]

[dvdauthmenu.exe -o %dvdtemp% -T %menu% ]
adjust to:[dvdauthmenu.exe -o "%dvdtemp%" -T %menu%
[and a similar line in adddvd.bat in showburner dir...]

and that should do it...i just noticed my file picker doesn't allow me to play with the quotes on output so will have to figure something out for the installer....couple days...
that, or don't use a long filename for outputdir...Big Grin
