Channel Logo Tool V3

Folks,

Here version three of my channel logo tool :-

This tool is designed to download the Channel Logo Icons and match the logos with the channel names in your GBPVR Database and then publish them to the Media/ChannelLogos folder. Once some Logos had been matched with Channels, the tool allows you to examine your current logos against the new logos you have downloaded.

Tutorial :-

Start CLT
Select your Icon source (I suggest LyngSat website) (it takes a minute to download the website)
Select your country (again it takes a minute to dowload the graphics from the site)
Select a temporary folder for the downloaded icons
Select Preprocessing (this attempts to match the icons to the channel names)
On the Logo Matching, Select the channel and the matching logos for the channel will be displayed, the first is the temp downloaded source, the second is the GBPVR Logos.
Match up your logos and when your done press Export.

I've add a Microsoft prerequisits install, which you need to run before you run CLT for the first time.

I've also added :-

Support for JPG and all other images file formates
OpenFileDiaglog now opens with thumbnails pre selected
Added Progress bar down image download
Converted to .NET 2.0 browser support (hence the need for the prerequisits file)

Strange, the old version support the MDB only, the latest should work with the new version ? but I'll test it again.....

martynw - This version doesn't connect to the new SQL databases, I'd not noticed that Sub had added support, I'm going to add the support now..... should be a posted over the next day or so....

Folks,

New version which supports the SQLite Database, I've upgraded to .NET2 in order to access Sub's Database.

I've kept support of Access but database selection is now driven from GBPVR's config.xml file so it will automatically select the correct database.

I've tested it (and because I've said that, Someone going find something) but I think it's fairly solid.

Can I have some more info please. according to the debug file you sent your machine cann't find IE which I don't believe because you've downloaded the Icons.

Can you run it again and send a screenshot please ?

Also did it create the logo directory ? If so what happen you you select Directory from main menu and then select logo folder and select next ?

I've googled it and found this
