I havn't got any way of reading CDs - I suppose I could say at present. I could add it to the list of stuff to look at.

Yeah windows file explorer uses bits of Window Media to tag reading. ML2 does use Media Player but not as it's primary reader of tags. I'm looking at dropping the other reader (UltraID3) very soon.

My music collection is mostly classical. I would therefor like to have the option to view Composer/Album/Title.

Composer is a id3v2 only tag isn't it?? I can look at it, but it may take some work. Since it's not a tag I currently pay any attention to.

Composer indeed does not show up under id3v1 in the ID3-Tagit editor I am using presently. It is also not on the first page to enter information in the v2 modus. On the other hand the FreeDB database is surprisingly complete with these data.

So if there ever is a rainy day in NZ.....

mikepl Wrote:I'm not sure this is WAD or not but I noticed that the panel layout Artist-Album-Title displays as expected but Genre-Artist-Title does not. Genre(ALL) displays Artist(choices) and Title(choices) but Genre(Classical Rock etc.) only displays Artist(ALL) and Title (choices). No Artist choices are provided.

Hi all,

Firstly this plugin (and thread) rocks. I've had a little trouble getting it running on the newest version of GBPVR (SQL lite errors) but now it is working and everything is up to date.

However, I'm still having the same problem as mikepl... Artist-Album-Title displays fine, but Genre & Album only display songs. The upper-right panel is always "All." Any thoughts?

Thanks...

Opps, I had a fix for this. I've given it to a couple of guys and I haven't had any problem back from them, so I might release.

Thanks. I can't wait to get this up and running fully - I've been playing with GBPVR for about 6 months and love (or sometimes hate) it. This latest version seems to have all the GBPVR issues ironed out, but most of the plug-ins do not work any longer. Ahhh - the joys of homebrew.

One basic tip all noobs like me - if your install is working - make a copy the GBPVR *before* you try installing any plugins, skins, etc. I have been able to replace corrupt copies with my good backup copies no problem. This is handy when your wife is expecting 90210 to be "High Availability." Smile

Also - I made a steve.language.xml file in the language directory and added it to the language config xml. Everytime I run config.exe, it selects English, not my custom language. I can select my custom language and it works, but if I'm not careful to select it *every time* I run config, it reverts backs to English & I get ugliness like "Music Library2" in GBPVR. Anyone else?

I don't think there is an "English" file. All I see in the <Language> directory are the foreign language xml files.
