Those changes were simply to give more details on the screen during testing to see what might be happening and no expectations of improving things. I can't debug why the connection is dropping

Maybe increase that sleep timeout a bit to match your experience

I cant get those numbers to work. Most those numbers dont have any # around them

Upon testing the comment on 150 fixes the broken pipe error when the window closed and now exits properly

/var/opt/nextpvr/scripts$ sudo bash opendct.sh 1110 "DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1" /tmp/some.ts
START DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1|1110|12345678|/tmp/some.ts|Great
OK

Exit
GET_SIZE DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1
679996

Exit
STOP DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1
OK

You are just jesting something we know works. It sounds like you did not change the lines in the original file on my second post and am still interested in a sleep value of 6 or 7 works with ffplay

I thought 8 would be too long so if it cuts off at 7 I will need those on screen messages.

Again, I don't need that last test anymore, it just clutters the logs but post 188 is useful.

I want time 7 but for the ffplay test the comments are wrong so please try

sudo python3 opendct.py "START" "DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 6" 1110 > /dev/null
