LOL. Perhaps ... It's still a great bargain and I'm rather partial to JP1 enabled remotes anyway so after I updated my regular remote with the Hauppauge codes the 34 button remote went back in the box.

Its the older one, but I might have an extra 45 button remote.

I'd love to get my hands on a $40 MVP-old remote or not. In Canada they go for $120 CDN if you can even find them. I'd be more than happy to throw in a bonus fee of your choice for the PITA Smile if someone would help a fellow GB-PVRer. Thanks!

I originally purchased three additional clearance MVP's from my local Radio Shacks primarily for the purpose of resale. However, GBPVR has become such a big success in my house that my older two kids insisted on one each, and the wife decided we needed one in the master bedroom.

I think I can say I now have a VERY high FAF (Family Acceptance Factor) for GBPVR.

I'm on a regular search for them any time I pass a Radio Shack or think of another store that I can call that's possibly in another region. I'm somewhat lucky because of the area of Florida that I'm in is sort of in the middle of three different regions. Most Radio Shacks can only search the stock of other stores in their same region. I've noticed that I get different answers depending on when I call and who I talk to as well. If your local Radio Shack region is supposedly out of them, I'd call again at a different time of day (when the same staff probably isn't there) and you could get a different answer. If I'm able to get some more, I'll reply here and offer them to my fellow GBPVR'ers. Of course, Sub will get first dibs. I still owe him a significant hardware/$$$ donation, and with the FAF being so high, now would be the best time!

GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

Ok, I guess the lack of a 45 button remote isnt a huge deal. If some one is able to help me out, send me a PM and we'll discuss.

In a way, this'll probably help everyone. Since I've only got the one MVP, and its usually connected to my development setup, its not really used in a "production" sense. I intend to use this new one for my bedroom, and if bugs are affecting my usage, I'm more likely to fix them.

I just picked up two MVP units at a Radioshack here in Lexington, KY. According to the inventory there were only three units in Lexington. I bought two at one store and my friend picked up the last one at the other store. All three units have the old remote, but who really cares for $39.99. I paid at least $100 for my first unit which has the new remote. Now I have three units, so lets hope GBPVR works out good for me. Keep up the great work sub!

Here's an online search for the MediaMVP at RadioShack (I think the earlier post had the stock # wrong). Just plug in your zip code.

Good Luck,
