v0.96.8 is much quicker with the recordings screen.

You can just upgrade, backup your gbpvr.mdb and config.xml before hand though - just in case.

Thanks Sub, I'll probably do that next weekend and I'll post my results here afterward.

All slowness issues have been resolved since the index update a release or two ago. I upgraded to the current v0.96.12 and going into the listing of recorded programs is almost instant. I do have a 300GB hard drive with only 50GB free or less (a lot of shows for the kids).

GB-PVR used to take a lot of time to start up but it's not too bad after I did a clean install and did not add all the plugins back like the weather or the theater. Now it takes about 10 to 20 seconds which does not bother me. I'm not sure if the plugins were causing the initial load time issue. I'll add a couple of back and note if any one causes a noticeable increase in load time.

Thank you very much for all your work Sub.

Good to hear it has improved things for you.

Thats still quite a log time. Start GB-PVR, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and I'll take a look if there is something in particular that is taking time.

That is very reassuring and I'll probably get to the upgrade sometime tomorrow. Thanks for sticking with this thread.

Sub, I'll let you know if I have the same issue after I upgrade. If I do have the same problem I'll zip up the log as well.

Success!!!! Thanks Sub. By upgrading to the latest it fixed my problem. Now the UI is lightning fast.

I'm not seeing the slow down when the GBPVR starts.

Thanks again.
