ahh yea thats the name - i bought this whole system, well the case, mobo, cpu, and other parts that i swaped out, off a guy on ebay. he was running knoppmyth on it. got a pretty nice deal on it i think.

the needle doesnt work, at least hasnt for me. havent messed with it. it only stays to one side and i know nothing about db levels. The case is roomy, but theres just one fan (attached to mobo) that makes some noise on and off. but when i stop that fan (manually holding it) it is actually very good for having 3 fans (2 case fans, and the heatsink/fan - 4 including the noisy one) and it does its job very well.

just dont stuff it somewhere where theres no ventilation, as with any computer...if you look at the pics, i actually had it down in the shevles to begin with but after about 2 minutes down there, it started beeping like crazy - warnings i assumed, so i had to move it up and it was fine there.

But I did want to ask how you found the cavillier case? Quite? Roomy? Does the swinging db level needle drive you mad?

It looks like a quality case at a good price but I wondered what your experience was.

Thought I should chime in on the case I bought from jfox, in case you're thinking about one Andrew.

It's a nice case but came with only a 300 watt power supply. (CoolerMaster sells them with a 350 now). All was fine until I hooked up a second hard drive and the machine started rebooting. After checking voltages in the bios, I could see that the PS couldn't keep the 12 volt line up... it was often fluctuating to 11v or less, then a reboot. No biggie I thought... I'll get a bigger PS. Easier said than done with this case.

It uses a non-standard PS, so when I brought home a standard ATX PS, no joy. Searched the web but can't find one the correct dimensions. So I called CoolerMaster numerous times before I finally got to speak to someone (many promises to call me back without success). I asked to buy a replacement PS and they told me they were out of stock and to call back in a couple weeks. I asked if they could refer me to a distributor that might have them in stock, but no joy there either. They said they only provide case/PS combos to distributors, not just PS, so I'd have to get it from them and them alone. 350 watt is my only option too... no bigger.

Ugh. You can imagine how excited I am about the case now. It looks great and is definitely high quality, but I won't buy a case with a non-standard PS again.
