you extracted it wrong, use winrar its much better and easier to tell which directory you should unzip it too, in this case you must need to unzip it too the devnz directory (or whatever the parent of the gbpvr directory is).

OK! I can see it in GBPVR config. Thanks so much.

Any chance you can help with what the next step is I need to take to setup to convert my .dvr-ms files to something that my Nero will allow me to burn (I only have Nero express).

Send me a link to the relevant page if that is easier.

thanks.

the included .bat file doesnt work with .dvr-ms files, only mpeg2 files, you have to find a program to convert them to valid mpeg2 files first.

yes - I was just discovering that. Though I added .dvr-ms files into the file types in Myvideos config (should I not have done this?) - and so it sees the files.....have I got GBPVR incorrectly setup - should I set the BDA Multiplexer to Hauupage Mpeg2 Muxer?

I've been following this page:

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugi...mmiesGuide

Get to number 6, and nothing happens......

yeah you should have added it to the extension list.

the "my dvd" feature, by default only accepts mpeg2 files, it will call a convert.bat file (if convert:true is set in mydvd) before burning, this batch file will give you the chance to convert any file to a valid mpeg2 dvd file. just by default it only converts mpeg2 files to valid mpeg2 files (dvdauthor doesnt like the ones created by most pvr cards, they have to be muxed/remuxed, which takes about 5 minutes).

I'm getting seriously confused now!

So my recordings are in the wrong format, I've got no multiplexors to put them in the right format. And so I'm still a million miles away from getting these files onto DVD!

i dont know, i dont use the dvr-ms format. all i know is that dvds require mpeg2 files. dont ask me why m$ started using the dvr-ms format...

google for a converter, im sure its not a long process to convert from dvr-ms to mpeg2 (i think its just a mpeg2 file with a different fileheader, or wrapped in another file header)

GBPVRConvert.exe can change a .dvr-ms file to .mpg, but you need to have the Cyberlink mux installed.

which I haven't! Anyway, found something called DVRMS Toolbox, which has done what I need it to.

So, I've now got an MPEG!

So, what do I do now? The instructions I'm following say I need to

"simply put a blank disc in your DVD writer, select the program in My Videos, press the “go” button on the remote (F11), choose “Burn” from the pop-up menu, “Demux and Burn” from the next menu, make sure the name is what you would like and then let the burning commence."

Well, it simply still isn't working!
