With an mdb that big, it'd be quite nice to put it somewhere .... else ... can it/could it be defined to grow on a separate drive?

I have a smallish main C:\ drive where I keep the OS and programs only. All data, photos, videos etc goes elsewhere on two larger Hard Disks.

Seperate Topic, for Ton: you said
Quote:Here's what I've got in my "job" ..

Pardon my ignorance, but is that a normal batch file too? (or is it a vbs script?) Can I just copy/paste those commands into a .bat or .vbs file and schedule it to run once a day?

( jsteeles batch file I can understand, old and dossy... :-) )...

Yup,

I am using a plain old batch-file (called ".cmd" ofcourse under Windows NT/XP) that I scheduled to run at a certain time.

You should be able to just copy/paste into a batch (or CMDWink ) file...

Excellent, thank you.

Sometimes, there is just so much geek-speak, you all know what you're talking about, but the rest of us pseudo-luddites are left to struggle with the terminology :-)

A batch file. Now, me and that "dossy" jsteele fellow can dig that :-)

Cheers

If you were using Slimm GBPVR (which maintains a connection to the GB-PVR database, I have created a new beta version that allows GB-PVR to compact.

BETA v1.1.2258.32867

As always, please note that this is a beta version. Comments appreciated.

Features:
  • Releases connection to database around time of EPG update to allow GB-PVR to compact and repair the database after update completed. GB-PVR is given half-an-hour to update the EPG and compact and repair the database.
