gehing Wrote:I installed GBPVR on a different machine today. I set up a recording source with the same zap2it source as on my other machine. Then I did a EPG update (update) with 6 days. Afterwards, I had the complete guide for the next six days. The I changed it to 11 days and run the update again. After this update, I had a gap from 3/2 7pm to 3/3 to 3/4 2 am. This time I did this with the config program, and I got a log of the update.
I see the following in the log:
- Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-06T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-12T00:00:00Z
This is the right period for the update
- zap2it about to refresh next two days data to pick up any schedule changes
- Processing zap2it channels using SAX parser
- Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-01T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-03T00:00:00Z
- Removing EPG list for the next two days so they can be recreated.

I think there is something going wrong with this re-creation of the last two days.
I ran the second update at 9 p.m. EST.

I can send you the whole log if you give me an email address or a place to upload it.
I've been trying to reproduce this, but it seems to be coming in fine for me.

Are you able to try and do it again from scratch then email all the logs to support@devnz.com?

Sub,
I just sent 2 emails. I split this because of the size of the attachments (2.5 and 2.9 MB).
The first contains the log files, database and xml files after a fresh installation. I configured the update for 5 days, I updated the EPG through the config.exe.
The second email contains the log files, database and xml files after an update of the EPG. I configured this for 6 days and also did the update throug the config.exe.
After this update, I had a gap from 3/5 7pm to 3/6 6pm.
I also figured out taht I have the shortest gap if I run the update at 12 am, the gap is then from 7 pm to 6 am next day.

Thank you for looking into that.

I'm having a similar problem - doing incremental updates, the next day has gaps, e.g., updating at 10am EST on 6 March, the EPG has a gap from 7:00pm 7 March through 3:00am 8 March. All times EST (+5 zulu). Updating the entire EPG has no gaps.

i got the same problem with the incremental update. The full reload fixes the problem, but it put a large load on zap2it.

Just to clarify, I've encountered this problem daily with 96.8 and 96.12. I have reconfigured to do full updates, which puts a load on zap2it.

Sub,
Did you have a chance to look at the logs?
I have another problem: I set up some re-occuring recordings. One of them is just not scheduling any recordings. I deleted that recording. Then I changed to the program guide screen and scheduled the show as re-occuring; afterwards this show was not marked for recording. There was also no other recording scheduled in that time slot (btw, I have a Hauppauge PVR 500).

same problem here. the incremental update seems to be clearing the data on the second(ish) day and the last day.

i did a complete EPG reload. then i changed the option for incremental update, and did another EPG update. it is currently Friday ~8pm:

- have data from now (mar 10) to saturday (mar 11) ~8pm.
- no data from saturday ~8pm to monday 1am
- have data from monday 1am to wednesday (mar 22) ~8pm
- no data from wednesday (mar 22) to thursday (mar 23)

log shows:
Quote:06-03-10 19:53:14.515 VERBOSE [2] Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-22T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-23T00:00:00Z
06-03-10 19:53:21.125 VERBOSE [2] Requesting listings for the period: 2006-03-10T00:00:00Z to 2006-03-12T00:00:00Z

i have two capture sources which may be playing a role here given how it uses a cached version of the zap2it data.

resorting to doing a full EPG 10 day update...

I have been wondering if it somehow related to multiple capture devices, but cant see a solid link yet. Do other people getting a gap also have multiple capture sources? Please let me know.

My other theory was it was somehow related to the timezone offset to UTC. I've been unable to reproduce it here, even though I've tried many times, but I'm in a very different timezone.
