MixMan Wrote:Sorry guys for not responding so quick. This is a quick change to your themepack. I did not do a complete .xml overhaul, just enough to get it to work. I included a modified version of the buttons that work with the BaseSkin naming convention so users would not have to download them (I will make all the buttonsets I uploaded AM Legacy and Baseskin naming compatible, give me about 24hrs or so.) I also changed the taskimages from purple to the "steel" versions so they would clash less with the various colors. This should be ready for you to make an .exe themepack from. Advisor.MCE2BlueAM.zip MixMan. This file contains an installation .exe file that you want to point to a "development" directory. Note to end users, until MixMan makes this a Themepack that self installs, you have to manually run the DistributeTaskImages.bat file located at C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\BaseSkin\AllTaskImages if you install this to the ..\BaseSkin directory.

I don't know how to handle the Appearence all sub directories with WinRar.
There seems not to be any /S option with WinRar Perhaps I should let all themepacks just be ZIPs for the new ThemesManager plugin. What do you think guys.

I have not found a way to create empty directories using Nullsoft's nsi script yet (I currently have to put "se" files in directories that can be empty). I have to read up on it more to find out maybe how to run a batch file after install to get around this. I am currently just creating zip files and using Nullsoft's "zip2exe" installer program which is great (Awesome compression). I can modify the script to do more apparently.

Most plugins/skins are distributed as zips so people are used to that. Will it mean any changes to the current themepacks or bat files? ps was going to work on the wiki entries tonight but its the wiki is really slow again

The file CreateThemePack.bar in each Advisor.XXXX directory, first creates a ZIP file then it uses the sfxoptions.txt file to create an EXE file.
But the ZIP files created with WinRar is not 100% compatible with WinZIP, so you get an error if you try to unzip them with WinZIP. I'm gonna look at UnRAR.exe and see what the can do. It can be used for free. ps. The other Themes that I have been "working" on are not that good and misses task images.

nemulate Wrote:also are you aware of problem on home screen with recording info and task title overlapping at bottom or is this because I'm using AM to change some of the skin? I did not fix this in the Main Menu skin.xml file. You will need to address that before posting the theme. This is the Zip2exe "Installer" I use, very simple with no bells and whistles. It is part of the much more feature rich Installer download. I can get a 20mb zip file compressed to about 7mb and allow the user to choose the install path. I can live with out the License and post install run options. There are GUI wizards for creating an install scripts, but that is too complex for me untill I can figure it out more.

The easiest thing for me to do is to change the path in the sfxoptions.txt so that the EXE file will create a new directory with the Themapack name and the run the copytheme.bat file. Then it will also work with ThemesManager. This is how I will make the ThemePacks from now on.

Sorry for asking questions related to "Object Reference not..." but I can not figure out what is wrong since I really do not follow the logic behide the base skin and the Advisor packs. \\Anders 2006-05-13 18:18:12.312 ERROR [2] Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwnd=0x110558 wparam=0x0 lparam=0x2a2007c result=0x0 : System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at GbpvrUiElements.List.Render(Graphics g, Boolean hasFocus) at GbpvrUiElements.GbpvrUiElement.RenderIfVisible(Graphics g, Boolean hasFocus) at ThemeManager.ThemeManagerMenuTask.render(Boolean& requiresMoreRendering) at xae10db17d26ba033.x86396f56243de9fb.render(Boolean& xbae0ec4fbb835d1e) at xae10db17d26ba033.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.xf1b04f0b61b2ba29(Object xdf2e3583f942db7b, EventArgs xc4f45905cb1fc7ba) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ContainerControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at xae10db17d26ba033.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.WndProc(Message& x5f8f2c40c000ab2c) |
