Yes, I have a set of windows message that can be used as an alternative to keystrokes. I'll post them after work when I'm back in front of my source code.

After reviewing them, if you need additional messages let me know and I'll add them. Currently the messages map pretty much to the keystrokes, but there is nothing to stop adding additional messages such as 'go to the TV Guide screen' or 'exit GB-PVR'.

Once I have the .gml done i will post it here. Won't be till tomorrow now though cos i need some sleep [Image: biggrin.gif]

hmmm, can't get it to work with zero. I can get it replicating key strokes fine, but not using sendmessage.

I will keep at it and see if i can come up with anything,

Right. I now have a working girder set-up but it uses the keystrokes rather than the messages because i could not get GBPVR to recognise any of those messages sent by Girder. I'm not sure if they are not available externally or not? my experience with windows code is limited, but i may try to knock up a few c++ routines when i have a few spare minutes to see if i can get the commands sent form that. Girder is normally very good though so it may be i am just over looking something -normally is [Image: biggrin.gif].

I have no webspace to host the .gml but if you want it drop me a PM and i will email it over to you. It is very basic at the moment, just supporting those commands above, but i will expand it with channel changing etc etc (hoefully get LCD master integrated at some point [Image: biggrin.gif]) as and when they become available and i have time to put them in.

Cheers,

Matt

msm's GML file for controlling GB-PVR can be found on the new downloads page at http://www.gbpvr.com/downloads.htm

Girder's all greek to me, but I'm sure msm will be able to answer any questions on using it...

I've been working with girder too, made some LCD plugins to display output on custom lcd displays and I recently worked on software that enables me to send input from a gamepad (try to get 12 input keys that cheap any other way [Image: smile.gif] ) to girder. This is rather simple, you only require on DLL. The info can be found on the girder homepage under online help - faq - actions - "How can I trigger a Girder event from outside of Girder"

I have not yet tried to send any strings to girder.
