Thanks for the link, please find the ScanChannelsBDA log attached. It seems to have picked up some channels. When using the software that came with the device (Blaze HDTV player) I can pick up 49 channels, but the software is rubbish. Should I uninstall this software? Has it locked up the device?

Unfortunately I'm not really sure what to suggest. It looks like both GB-PVR an the ScanChannelsBDA utility are having problems locating channels. It looks like ScanChannelsBDA almost locked some channels, but only with a very poor signal quality.

Could the problem be with my updated bda.ini file, I haven't used graph.exe. Should I use this to find the correct values for the bda.ini?

I dont think so. I'd expect to see an error or two in the logs if you'd got something wrong in there.

Its all gone a bit weird! I decided to uninstall any traces of previous software and then hey presto I picked up 5 channels, although now it is saying it was unable to start the device that I configured. I think I might uninstall everything tomorrow (hardware also) and give it another go.

O.K I unistalled all related software and hardware and then reinstalled the driver and GB-PVR only. I updated the bda.ini file and re-registered the filters. When trying to map the channels I received the following error:

vsfilter

DirectVobSub: IPersistStream is no longer supported

it then scanned and picked up no channels
logs are attached

Hi.

I had a similar problem, which was eventually resolved by un-installing Meda Portal (spit), uninstalling GB-PVR, removing the devnz folder from program files, then reinstalling the .NET framework, then GB-PVR. All is now as it should be

I hope this helps

This message is generated by DirectVobSub which you must have installed on your machine. The error message is not one of GB-PVR's messages.

I have managed to get rid of the DirectVobSub message by unistalling that application and I have tried unistalling .net framework and GB-PVR and then reinstalling, but I am still not picking up any channels. Its a real shame because yesterday I finally got GB-PVR to recognise my device and pick up a few channels, I think I'll just have to admit defeat and go back to the crappy packaged software. Anyway many thanks for all your help
